CN Ratings Thread

Yeah, but having other shows around it doesn't hurt either. Granted we won't know unless CN sends out a press release highlighting the ratings for the individual shows.

That would be a good idea. I really want to know how shows like Samurai Jack are doing in the ratings, or how these random airings of Dexter and PPG might do. It'd kinda foreshadow if we'd be seeing more of them in the future.

Awesome, Har Har Tharsdays is catching on like I thought it would. After all, neither Nick or Disney airs new episodes on Thursday primetime. :)

That wasn't my typo. That's what the site had it as. I'm sure it is a typo though.

For the second day in a row, CN beat Nick with K6-11 and K9-14. As for the reason why Disney Channel's ratings are so high, well that was the premiere night of Camp Rock.

I kinda think it more Nickelodeon going downward in the ratings than CN moving up that caused this shift. Fried Dynamite is reruns only right now, and Nick and Disney kinda go after the same audience.

I think Cynopsis may have made a mistake, since all those ratings are exactly the same as the ones for Thursday, June 19th. The only difference is Nickelodeon has 1072,000 in the K2-11 demo instead of 1027,000.

Yeah, you're right. This might have been a mistake on their part. It's happened before.

So, the Ed, Edd n Eddy marathon did well for CN. It's more-or-less on par with the last marathon for the show. Unlike Best Edder Day however, it wasn't enough to beat Nick or the Disney Channel.

So, Media Life Magazine posted the second quarter primetime ratings for cable networks among the 18-34, 18-49, and 25-54. Then, they compared it to the same time period around last year. CN made all three charts and here's how they rank:

18-49: 273,000(#27 for cable; down 8% from last year(296,000))

25-54: 215,000(#33 for cable; down 4% from last year(225,000))

So, CN was down from last year. Yet, among 25-54, CN was down the least out of the three. Interesting.

As you can see, some categories went up from the week before and some went down.

Live + Same Day Ratings Kids Cable Network Averages (000) for Friday, July 4, 2008, 6am-11pm, ranked by K2-11:
NICKELODEON: K2-11 866; K6-11 504; TWEENS 9-14 384
DISNEY CHANNEL: K2-11 904; K6-11 600; TWEENS 9-14 438

The Chowder marathon did fine for CN, although it was down from the week before. But, this was also the Fourth of July and many people were out, so all four networks were down.

Live + Same Day Ratings Kids Cable Network Averages (000) for Saturday, July 5, 2008, 6am-11pm, ranked by K2-11:
NICKELODEON: K2-11 1058; K6-11 678; TWEENS 9-14 488
DISNEY CHANNEL: K2-11 944; K6-11 629; TWEENS 9-14 475

The Total Drama Island marathon helped CN for Saturday, as the ratings were up from the previous Saturday.

Week of 6/30-7/6:

Household Rating:

Primetime: 1,003,000(#8 for cable last week)
Total Day: 986,000(#5 for cable last week)

Viewers 2+:

Primetime: 1,345,000(#8 for cable last week)
Total Day: 1,235,000(#5 for cable last week)

So, while Primetime was down, the Total Day was up. Good enough that it beat out Adult Swim, which doesn't happen that often.

This is no surprise. CN's definitely had a good streak when it comes to original programming in the past few months. Chowder, Alien Force, and Flapjack all are bringing the bacon for CN. We can be assured that Chowder, Flapjack, and the Ben 10 Franchise will be a part of CN for years to come because of this miraculous, and much needed, success.

I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
