What Toonami show got you "hooked" on Toonami?

How did you misspell Toonami in your title, and twice?

Sailor Moon was the first Toonami show I ever watched. Years later, I got into DBZ, then Dragonball, and now, I'm a regular watcher.

TOONAMI!

Anyway, it was Dragon Ball Z, naturally.

Gundam Wing got me hooked. DBZ was just an OK show that I sat through before Gundam Wing came on. Of course, all my friends liked it, so I had to know what was going on.

The show that got me hooked on Toonami was Hamtaro.

....I'm serious.

DBZ.

Oh what that was Toonami, Don't think I've ever watched Toonamie before. :D

it's true...

DBZ is a gateway anime. (okay I know what I want to say but I'm not to sure I'm saying it the right way but you should get it)

Like almost everyone else, it was DBZ that "hooked" me on Toonami.

Unlike everybody else, it was ThunderCats and The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest for me. I actually didn't watch DBZ regularly until about the 3rd or 4th run.

I still remember the days when Voltron/Robotech started at 4:45PM. What happened to those days?

Honestly? Im' not quite sure, It might've been DBZ since I remember first watching it during.. yeah The Fight between Goku and Freiza. Then I remember just loving Tenchi Muyo!

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats HOOOOOOO!
DBZ was a close second though.

Probably Johnny Quest because it got me to watch Sailor Moon and Reboot (even though I detest it).
But I really started watching the entire block day after day in 2001 when they had Mobile Suit Gundam-Gundam Wing-Outlaw Star-DragonBall Z (which MSG got replaced by The 08th MS Team but got put back on in Adult Swim)

That was a pretty killer line-up my friend

DBZ helped me stay interested in the drier times (now Naruto does) but the show that got me hooked on Toonami was definently Gundam Wing.

I should have said Wulin Warrriors.

That would have made some good entertainment.

Probably Robotech, although I was initially drawn in because I remembered Thundercats from the 80's. Robotech was the one show that especially held my interest in the early days, though.

Gundam Wing, and great shows like Outlaw Star and Rurouni Kenshin kepts me hooked up until JLU was removed.

I started with DBZ, but didn't expand to watching the rest of Toonami until Hamtaro began to air. I was curious, so I watched all of Toonami after that and the rest is history.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
