No Idea
Rescue Rangers, away!
Okay...anyway...I have the next chapter, its been edited, its ready. So here ya go!
Chapter 28: In between
I won’t bore you with the pointless babblings of Jason getting his old man a drink. Lets just say he got it and all were ‘happy’. Once he had gotten back the two had decided that it’d be best for him to leave his gloves in the apartment when going out. Looking at his hands, Jason found that both were almost completely covered with burn marks. Worrying, maybe. Did he care? Not really. But anyway, it was two days later now and things were ‘settling’.
Jason had also found his dad’s large array of empty Whisky bottles. He couldn’t look in one cupboard without finding at least two empty bottles. Now that was worrying. It was clear his dad had never recovered from what happened. Jason didn’t think to bring it up, in case it upset the old guy. But he had to ask one thing. He had to know…
“Could you take me to her?”
Chris seemed to instantly understand whom he was talking about, and with a weak smile he reached for his cane. Standing up, the man took in a deep breath.
“Sure. C’mon, follow me.”
Slowly Chris began to limp toward the door. It was apparent that the limp in his step came from his slightly disfigured right leg. What happened to it, Jason didn’t know. But whatever it was, it must have been pretty bad. Seeing the rain outside, Chris flung on his brown trench coat and Jason put a black hat on followed by his green jacket. The two walked out the door and started the short trip to the graveyard.
******
Down the street. Around the corner. This is where the old graveyard could be found. The mass amount of head stones loomed in the darkness. Great imposing statues of Angels kept guard. The heavy rainfall hammered down and caused the mud to soak. The creaking gates swayed slightly in the wind. It was through this gate, third row down the path, to the left and the fifth one across. This is where you would find the grave of Helen Fields. The head stone read:
Helen Fields
Jason fell to his knees in front of the head stone and hung his head. A single tear ran down his face and he let out a quiet whimper. The rain had covered his tear, but nothing could stop his father from hearing the whimper. Slowly he came to Jason side and placed his left hand on the boy’s shoulder.
“Who?”
“I think you already know.”
Jason clenched both his fists and forced back the tears of sorrow and rage.
“Slade…” slowly Jason rose to his feet “I’ll kill him.”
“You can’t go after him yet…you aren’t ready. We need to make plans…”
“We?”
“He took away my wife and son and he took your mother. I think we both have reason for revenge.”
Jason couldn’t argue with truth. I highly doubt there are many who can, and if they try they’re obviously a fool. After a few moments of silence the two walked back into the night. Like his dad had said…there was much to be done.
******
The next day came slowly. Jason hadn’t been able to catch one moment of sleep on his makeshift bed…the couch. Not because it was uncomfortable, but because he couldn’t get the anger out of his mind. Anyone would be the same in his position. Besides he never really was much of a sleeper. It was around 11:15am when he got up, and found that his dad was already awake and moving.
“I need you to go to the mall and buy me some things…”
“You want me to go to the mall? After yesterday? What happened to planning? And couldn’t I just go to the shop around the corner.”
“Yes. Yes. Later. And no…its just too damn expensive in there.”
“Fine…but this is the last time I do this. I’m not an errand boy.”
“I know that, but a man’s gotta eat, right?” he didn’t even wait for an answer “I need some bread, chicken and Whisky…make that two.”
Jason wonder why the guy couldn’t just go himself. Plain lazy. He didn’t much enjoy running around doing stupid little things like this. Biggest waste of time ever! And he hated the mall. Hated it. Besides, he was meant to be in hiding. How was he meant to hide in the middle of a massive crowd? With a heavy sigh, he put his jacket and aviators on, followed by his black hat. He stormed out of the apartment and slammed the door behind him.

“Shopping! I can’t believe he’s making me go shopping!”
Jason pushed his way through the crowd that seemed to always be present in malls. The mass amount of shops was just stupid. How was he meant to find anything in this place? Not only that, but seems as everyone in the damn place was looking for him, it made the situation very uncomfortable. How he hated it. So far Jason hadn’t been able to find any of the things his dad wanted. Thinking about it he should’ve just gone to the shop around the corner. It had taken him about an hour to walk to the damn place.
Couldn’t get any worse, right? Surely not. Surely there was nothing else that could make this trip any worse…oh wait…yes there was…and there they were. But to be honest he had no idea why Raven was there. Jason looked around quickly. He had to hide. Nowhere, nothing. The crowd was taking him with them and Raven was getting closer. She looked right at him and gave him an inquisitive look. All though it couldn’t be seen his eyes widened. He saw Raven mouth his name then look at him in surprise.
“Oh…crap…” Jason quickly push people to the side did an about turn and bolted for the nearest exit. But Raven being able to fly, he couldn’t lose her. But he could still try and out run her.
The nearest door was a fire exit that led to an alley behind the mall. Jason pushed his way through the wave of people and burst out into the open. Finally he could breath again. But his run was stopped as black energy in the form of a bird jumped out in front of him. Raven appeared where the bird had once been. However, to Jason’s immediate surprise, she didn’t seem to be there to fight him. Rather she looked concerned.
“Jason? Why do you…?”
“Look different? Its called having an entire city after you.”
Jason took his glasses of and removed the hat.
“So what are you waiting for? Aren’t you going to cart me away? Lock me up?”
“No…Jason…you’re not a criminal. I know that…the others will see that too…just…”
“Give them time? They won’t see it, ever, no matter how much time you give them. Now although it’s been nice seeing you again, I have to go…”
“Wait. Jason. I…I…”
“So do I, but with your friends setting their minds to take me down, I don’t really see how it would work.”
Raven hung her head and turned away from Jason slightly. But he simply smiled. Placing his hand under her chin, he turned Raven’s head toward him and before anything else could be said he kissed her lightly.
“Take care Raven, and if you ever need to find me,” he pointed to his head and smiled “Feel free.”
With one last smile he gently brushed past her and disappeared around the corner. For a few moments Raven stood still, a mix of shock and happiness spread across her face. But remembering who she was, the girl quickly pushed emotions to the side and flung her hood back up. Now she just had to find Starfire, who had managed to drag her down here.
Raven teleported back into the mall, receiving some disturbed looks from passers by. As soon as she was in, Starfire leapt at her.
“Friend! Where have you been!?”
“Don’t worry…lets just get back to the Tower…”

He doesn't exactly have access to that kind of fire power. But yeah, I can hint at things as well...with the hinting and the nudging and the winking. Yeah...Rob. Who knows what he's gone do?!
