No Idea
Rescue Rangers, away!
Next chapter. No major dislikes about this one and I think it pretty much explains itself...in fact...I would be quite worried if it didn't...on with the show!
Chapter 32: Helpless
He lay motionless on the floor. Not knowing how long he had been like this. All time was lost to him now. Silence filled the large warehouse…and he was alone. The pain going through his body and the uncontrollable coughing were the only things telling him he was still alive…but he didn’t know how long that’d last.
Then a sharp sound rang through the empty warehouse. Usually it didn’t bother him, but now the ring of his phone seemed higher pitched and much louder. It pierced through his head and added to its pain. He gave out a loud groan and attempted to claw his way toward it, but to no avail. After a few minutes it stopped and everything was at relative peace again.

Why wasn’t he answering? He was meant to ring hours ago. At first the man had assumed he had only been held up…but now things seemed much more urgent.
“C’mon Jason. Pick up the damn phone,” the man muttered to himself as he paced back and forth, a nervous look upon his face. After a few minutes it became clear that Jason would not answer his call. With a heavy sigh Johnson put his phone away.
“God damn it Jason…you can’t die yet…”
He turned to leave, but a strange shiver went up his back. It was as if he could…sense someone behind him. Some… unexplainable darkness. The man quickly turned about and was taken back by whom he saw. The Titan, Raven, stood in front of him. He wasted no time, however, in bringing forth his Colt 70. But it seemed that Raven’s reflexes were far greater than his own, for even as the weapon was only just brought into view, the girl formed black energy around the man’s army and flung him into the nearest wall.
With his weapon out of reach and his position not all too good, Johnson became…slightly more co-operative. Very slightly.
“What do you want?” he asked with a voice full of hatred and spite, as if Raven had done something terrible to him long ago. Raven found that no matter how hard she tried, that she could not read this man’s mind. For a moment the girl was a bit phased by this, but soon went on.
She was reluctant to say what she was about to, but knew it had to be done.
“I just need you to show me where Jason is.”
“Ha! As if I would help y…” Johnson looked into her eyes that now seemed to be ablaze with an uncontrollable fire of anger. Thinking twice Johnson disregarded what he knew and decided to look out for himself…for now.
“Very well…I’ll show you.”
Raven let him back to the ground and stepped away from him. Johnson straightened his jacket, whipped off some dirt and regained his Colt 70.
“C’mon. Follow me…and don’t try anything!”

Time was still non-existent to him. He hadn’t moved from his spot for what seemed like decades. Nothing happened, no-one came. All he could do was moan as pain continued to surge through his body. It seemed that more wounds were opening without reason or explanation, and there was nothing he could do to stop them. His cough and headache was now joined by a fever. Shivers ran through his body as it became colder and colder.
But it was now, at 12:13 am of the day after he had arrived back in the warehouse that some light of hope came. The door opened and he heard a familiar voice.
“Jason?”
It was Raven. He never thought that he’d be so happy to hear her voice. But it seemed another was with her…Johnson. Now he heard his old friend call out.
“Where are ya Jason?”
The warehouse was very dark and it was impossible to see the motionless boy. All he could do was give out a weak groan. Raven quickly rushed over to where the groan had come from. Johnson stayed at the door to make sure no-one came. The girl walked cautiously through the empty building, but still managed to trip over something. Looking back she knew what it was, or…who it was.
“Jason?!”
She quickly scrambled over to him and held him in her arms, drawing back the dirty hair from his face. Even in what little light there was she could tell he was barely conscious and struggling to remain like that.
“We have to get him to Titans Tower,” she exclaimed looking up at Johnson, who immediately objected.
“Woo there. Aren’t you forgetting something? Those friends of yours have an agenda against Jason. Especially that Robin. They’ll never let him stay.”
“It’s his only chance! Can’t you see? He’s dying!”
That was something Johnson couldn’t deny. Jason was dying and he knew it, and he knew that if Jason wasn’t attended to…well…Earth wouldn’t stand much of a chance. With a heavy sigh, he walked over to Raven and Jason. Without another word, Raven formed a sheet of black energy around them and they were gone.

It seemed that the other Titans hadn’t noticed Raven’s absence. This was more than likely because it was not unusual for the mysterious girl to disappear. It had been worrying at first, but now they thought little of it. Robin seemed to be calmer for the moment, allowing himself to rest his mind for a moment. Beast Boy and Cyborg battled it out on the GameStation, and as usual it was a losing battle for the Changeling. And Starfire sat along side watching the two, amused by their antics.
The night was a peaceful one, which was a nice change for the teenagers. Of course they were on stand-by for almost anything…almost. It was now that their peace was disturbed. A flash went through the room and the four teenagers jumped around, ready to fight. But…there was no need. The group relaxed when they saw who it was.
Raven was kneeling on the floor, holding a ragged and dirty Jason. His breathing heavy, face pale and body weak. Close by was a man who looked to be in his early forties. This is our good friend Johnson. He had the look of someone who was extremely over worked, his clothes tattered and dirty, his hair barely kept and his eyes blood shod. A few moments of silence passed as the Titans tried to figure out what to say, but Raven broke the silence for them.
“Please…he needs our help. He’s dying…”
