If you're going to air subtitled shows, why not go for this season's simulcasts? Then again, is the Funimation Channel running the dub simulcasts?

God the Funimation Channel sucks now, they use to air 2 new episodes of different shows on Mon-Weds but nowadays you barely get two new episodes and to add insult to injury Fairy Tail has over a hundred episodes and they flat out love to re run them

None of the dub simulcasts are running at this time. Really hoping we get them soon though (I am watching some of them on Funimation's website, but would love to see them on TV).

As for Soul Eater NOT, isn't there a DVD set with an English dub coming out relatively soon? I mean, if Funimation Channel can air Ben-to's dub a month after it's physical release, why can't they do that with Soul Eater NOT? Regardless, I'll probably watch since I've been wanting to see SE NOT for a while. TV is the perfect way for me to do so.

You have to remember that FUNi does not run the FUNimation Channel.

Did whoever's behind FUNimation Channel give up on spreading to other providers?

Time Warner's so desperate for new channels they have a Spanish culture channel that shows Dexter for Pete's sake. They could push a little harder and get the FUNimation Channel to a much larger audience no problem.

The FUNimation Channel has posted a question about subbed anime on the Channel:

We want to hear from you! Would you rather watch newer shows with English Subtitles before their English Dubbed version is released?

Here is the link to their poll.

No, last year the linear FUNimation Channel was added to 3 service providers.

Here is a sneak peek of the shows coming to the FUNimation Channel this summer:

And yet I doubt they'll be releasing any Tokustatsu :p.

So this is potentially exciting news. Hopefully it's a channel that's actually accessible this time.

At the end of every year, Uverse does a free preview of all their HD channels, which meant that I got a free week of the Funimation Channel. Not nearly enough time to watch a full series, but at the very least I could check in on it now and then to look for interesting shows to watch, and I did find a few. I first heard of Michiko and Hatchin there, and now it's on my DVD shelf.

This year I learned they've recently relaunched as TOKU, and...what the hell happened to it?

Now they do schlocky Japanese live-action movies on top of anime marathons. And does Funimation even run it anymore? Every anime on it (of the six or seven I've seen) is a Media Blasters title--one of which involved twincest, another was a bouncy-breast fanservice-heavy high school comedy, and the rest of them weren't all that interesting. Did the viewership get so low that they just decided "screw it, nobody's watching anyway"?

This has been discussed previously in another thread. In summation, Funimation ended their 10 year partnership with Olympusat and took the Funimation Channel's name with them. That is why the channel has been renamed. It is also not being programed by Funimation anymore hence the channel drift - network decay.

Funimation said that their channel is going to be relaunched some time this year. It is unknown on what platform. I personally believe that since they are walking away from the previous agreements they have made with cable operators and MSOs (over the last ten years on their linear channel) that it will be on some sort IPTV platform bypassing cable companies altogether for Roku, Sling TV, Apple TV, Amazon TV etc. Time will tell.

I see.

I knew they broke up with Olympusat and heard about the rebrand only just before. I just wasn't entirely sure on all the details.

"Network decay" is right.

I've only see a couple of the show they have on Toku through On Demand. Super Robot Wars: OG Divine Wars seems okay thus far, but Shamanic Princess is pretty much a confusing mess. There a couple of other series available, but they're heavy fanservice shows that I wouldn't want to watch anyway.

I'm glad that they're going to relaunch their own channel again this year. I just hope that i'll still be able to watch their shows On Demand. I've seen a lot of anime series that I really like and wouldn't have been able to give a chance if I didn't watch it through their On Demand service.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
