The FUNimation Channel Thread

Huh, they're getting Samurai Champloo, huh? Surprised.

Starting next week, Birdy the Mighty: Decode is airing as well (9 PM, Wednesday).

I've actually been REALLY annoyed by the funimation schedule...
I first got the channel last fall and really loved how things were set up. Each show was given a new episode mon-fri and then on saturday and sun day they would repeat what was played throughout the week back to back. And though their was some fluctuation the shows had semi-regular viewing times each day...

But lately that hasn't been the case... all the new shows that started up in the last 2-3 months have been getting only like 1 or 2 new episodes every week; and that's not including the reruns of ealier episodes despite that fact that the shows have yet to reach conclusion. Furtharmore, the schedule seems to be all over the place to the point that i never know when anything is on. Where I was once able to get through an entire series in about a month of regular viewing the episodes are now moving at a snails pace. I used to have the channel on all the time but now I feel like i'm having less of reason to watch... i am just getting so eager to watch new episodes of the new shows

Also even though i have seen the series before, it irks me that soul eater has not been going past the halfway point... though i'm really ticked off that Hetalia hasn't gotten past episode 2, which is a series i think is hilarious but have not seen to its fullest.

Only thing i am glad is that it seems like they are finally stopped reairing the XXX holic movie and those school rumble ova's... did not every care for the movies and while i liked the school rumble ovas they reran so many times that it made me sick of watching them...

Yeah I've noticed how things seem all over the place too. It started around when they were airing some movie (and maybe the xxxholic and tsubasa movies as well).

It does seem odd how it fluctuated so drastically.

Samurai Champloo makes for another rescued title hitting the network. I wonder if / when Trigun, Gungrave, Last Exile, etc. might show up.

Funi is airing both Trigun and Gungrave (it cost... RAGE) through comcast on demand feature. I don't know if that's any different but, yeah.

From FUNi's Blog:

Last but not least, on Monday March 14 at 8:30pm catch the premiere of Big Windup!. A new baseball season is merely weeks away and I’ve been waiting to air this series for a while.

According to Zap2It, Chobits will debut on May 9th at 10 pm and Gungrave will debut on May 11th at 10 pm on the FUNimation Channel.

According to its online schedule, Hero Tales will debut May 17th on 10:30 pm (TV-14) on the FUNimation Channel.

Also, returning to the channel with new episodes are Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, May 16th at 9 pm, and Soul Eater, May 17th on 10:00 pm.

News I just discovered, Funimation channel on demand is now on Cablevision. Go to the On Demand channel, go to Movies On Demand, than go to Funimation Anime. All episodes are $0.95 and movies are $2.95

This is a test run, if proven successful Cablevision might add the Funimation channel and I will be very happy.

I don't know if anyone here lives in the Cincinnati area and happens to have FiOptics as there provider, but if you do, can you tell me if FUNimation Channel is on there?

During their panel at AX yesterday, FUNimation announced many new shows, OVAs and movies coming to the FUNimation Channel:

Shows: Gunslinger Girl, Rideback, Baka & Test - Summon the Beasts, The Sacred Blacksmith, Yu Yu Hakusho, Chrome Shelled Regios and Ga-Rei: Zero

OVAs: Tsubasa: Spring Thunder and Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations

Movies: Evangelion 2.22, Eden of the East the Movie I: King of Eden, Eden of The East the Movie II: Paradise Lost, To, and Summer Wars.

Yu Yu? Awesome.

Yu Yu Hakusho at last! Now how about you guys bring back Dragon Ball (just DB for now)

They're putting pretty much all their movies on there (or is that actually all of them?)

Well, they still haven't aired the Yu Yu films, which they may have. Also, they have (surprisingly) never aired any of the Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z films. I am pretty sure that they have also never aired the FMA film.

Also, the Case Closed movies and the Blue Gender movie have also not aired on the channel yet.

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
