The only panel today was Warner Bros. Pictures Animation talking about their theatrical slate so presumably this is going to be for theaters.Without specifying what format (theatrical or streaming).
That was only announced to be in development. I'm guessing Foster's Funtime ended up taking priority since that actually got greenlit. There aren't any articles on this yet that I could find (or at least not any that reveal more than Discussing Film did) nor has Craig posted about this yet on Instagram (the only social media he seems to use nowadays), so it's unclear if this is in development or greenlit or has any relation to what was announced a few years ago.You know considering how it has now officially been YEARS since we heard McCracken was working on a PPG revival and haven't heard anything since then or any updates whatsoever, this is easily one of those "i'll believe it when I see it." And I at this point have a lot of doubts on that.
Foster's was greenlit.Something about PPG is always in development but ends up never coming out
Similarly that Foster's preschool show has been in development hell for ages now.
That's why I said it's been in development hell for ages. It just doesn't want to come out.Foster's was greenlit.

Although I'm now realizing that was about two years ago and we haven't heard much since then, so I don't know what's going on with it.
Of course, hours after I said that, I actually hear something. That's why I said it's been in development hell for ages. It just doesn't want to come out.

So it's still coming. Just taking longer than I thought it would.
I wonder if this will be a sequel to the 2002 movie, or a reboot
I think that's highly unlikely.I hope the Powerpuff Girls Z will make a cameo in the upcoming PPG movie. What do you think?
