I will tell you the main difference between Xiaolin Chronicles and Powerpuff Girls Z. The former is a bit rushed remake of Xiaolin Showdown, relies on the original ideas, some things are left unexplained and Chase Young is the main antagonist instead of Jack Spicer and Wuya. The latter's episodes were mostly the remakes of the ones of the original 1998 show. Also, PPGZ includes all the villains of the original 1998 show, unlike Xiaolin Chronicles. What do you think? Will you please tell me some differences between Xiaolin Chronicles and Powerpuff Girls Z?

Xiaolin Chronicles recasted the members of the Xiaolin Dragons, sans Tara Strong who reprised her roles as Omi and Ping Pong.

Powerpuff Girls Z recasted a lot of the characters, given the series was dubbed at Ocean Group.

And using Jennifer Hale and Tara Strong was a no-go for PPGZ, despite their being Canadian, and, in my opinion, expensive.

Powerpuff Girls Z is an anime co-production wildly different from the original 1998 series (to a much more extreme degree than the 2016 reboot) that has had minimal involvement from the original creator and is co-owned by Toei Animation and Aniplex. Not only does the OG English voice cast not return in the English dub, even the voice cast of Cartoon Network's Japanese dub of the 1998 series somehow doesn't return either in the original Japanese version of Powerpuff Girls Z!

Meanwhile, Xiaolin Chronicles is a somehow official continuation series produced, distributed and owned by an entirely different company than the one that made the original series. Instead of an American cartoon, it's now a European cartoon. The creator is still on-board, and so is Tara Strong in the voice cast, but they recast most other character voices.

The thing is...

Some of the episodes of PPGZ, for example, are the remakes of the ones of the original 1998 show. This was likely because PPGZ's writers were the huge fans of the franchise. Speaking of Xiaolin Chronicles, whoever was behind that show never watched Xiaolin Showdown and instead invented the completely-original stories featuring the characters that ended up being exclusive to the show itself (and most of them are the one-episode wonders, unlike the original ones from PPGZ like Ken Kitazawa and Peach/Poochie). What do you think?

Interestingly, over here in Italy PPG-Z was indeed aired on CN IT, but Chronicles was nowhere to be seen, AFAIK

I only watched the former, but not the latter. We never got Xiaolin Showdown to begin with

Cartoon Network HQ/Africa's inability to air Warner Bros. Animation shows was a major curse that affected markets like Portugal and the Netherlands adversely.

Besides, there's no evidence that it aired at least in South Africa.

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
