"“Dorohedoro” Season 2 Coming to Both Netflix and Crunchyroll April 1"

Dorohedoro-Season-2-poster-e1773178114797.jpg

"Dorohedoro was one of Netflix’s more popular anime offerings when season one streamed way back in 2020. Six years later and season two is finally coming. This time, both Netflix and Crunchyroll will stream the series.

In addition, season one of Dorohedoro has recently been added to Crunchyroll after years of Netflix exclusivity. Both the original Japanese audio and the dub that originally streamed on Netflix are available. This is quite surprising as Netflix usually only gives titles to Crunchyroll that they consider failures, like the Saint Seiya reboot or Knights of Sidonia. One of the more unusual cases of Netflix and Crunchyroll sharing titles involves Vinland Saga, which had both streaming services provide a completely different dub for their respective service. In the case of Dorohedoro, Crunchyroll and Netflix are both streaming the same dub for season one and presumably will stream the same dub for season two. This cooperation between the arch rival anime streaming platforms is unprecedented."

Although the series is set to premiere on Netflix in July, attendees of MCM Comic Con London will be able to see the world premiere of the show’s first two episodes plus a panel discussion with series director Minoru Ota and series producer Ryona Kuyama. "Anime Film “The Ribbon Hero” Coming to Netflix August 8th"

Ribbon-Knight-2026.jpg

"Netflix is releasing yet another major anime film on August 8th as The Ribbon Hero comes to the streaming platform. The film is slated to be “inspired by” Osamu Tezuka’s classic 1950s-1960s manga Princess Knight. Based on the trailer, it looks like it is very loosely inspired by the source material as this looks significantly darker and edgier. From what little we can gleam from the trailer, it looks like a dark and action packed magical girl title, possibly inspired by Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the grandmommy of the dark and gritty magical girl warrior genre."

Is that Joan Cusack voicing Jessie in that Toy Story Papa John's commercial? If so, it sounds rough. Woundn't surprise me if it wasn't, though.
