"Fangbone!" Series Talkback

10am could be a good premiere slot. Maybe it will premiere in June? Only time will tell.

It is definitely a show that deserves to be watched

on one hand, I do not like that they now seem to be overdoing Fangbone's stubborness (especialyl since there already was an episode dealing with it) and the stupidity of the minions

on the other hand, I do like they are actually giving character developement to the supporting characters

Okay, that worries me a little - the former could be the show's downfall - if trying to be like the Canadian equivalent of Star Vs. isn't the biggest elephant in the room for it (sadly enough), already. Hopefully, that's only a minor flaw. The latter, however, tells me that this is a good cartoon after all that I may need to watch more episodes of. However, I'm waiting for it to premiere on Disney XD, honestly, just to see for myself how good it really is (call it my own stubbornness, if you want...).

As I said, maybe the show itself will only premiere this month. It's already June and they could already announce a premiere date for it.

CN PT had this example when they were "premiering" Grojband at night, but eventually premiered it in an afternoon slot.

The theme song sure was energic and fun.

Looks like one of those funny, silly, action shows that are usually my guilty-pleasure.

I don't think the show was made because of Star vs the Forces of Evil since the first Fangbone book got published in January 2012 and has the same premise of the show.
Here's the front cover:

Also, at the end of the pilot episode,
the credits has a Phineas & Ferb credits style to it that was used on Gravity Falls and Wander Over Yonder. The pilot was made in 2014 when CHRGD was still called Disney XD, which means that the people working on Fangbone wanted it to air on Disney XD in the US.

Oh, it's based on a comic book.

Interesting.

I already knew about it back in February when I started to find out about the show itself. Also the pilot was made in 2012 or 2013, no wonder that they took that long to turn it into a full series.

THAT... Is a relief to hear, actually. That thankfully means that anyone saying this is a Star Vs. ripoff can and (better yet) should be invalidated when such commentary is made anytime soon. Thanks for this.

I've got to say, with me knowing about the existence of the book series, I haven't thought of this incorrect analogy with SvtFoE and I will never associate both shows as rip-offs.

New episode is coming this Tuesday, "The Field Trip of Mayhem". It's going to be a double-length episode. We had other two double-length episodes of this show before.

"The Field of Trip of Mayhem"

This was some season finale material
surprised there are still episodes left in this season

I mean, a countdown to stop the main villain, all the supporting and guest characters from previous episodes comming back, Fangbone going through an identity crisis, the main villain fighting the heroes in person and almost being finally defeated (and even tho the heroes could not defeat him permanently, he is now left in a much worse state than he was at the start)

Seriously, if the show stopped now, I'd consider it an adequate note to end it on
Still glad there is more to come

There will be one more episode which is "The Mom of No Leaving/The Back of Stone" on June 21st.

Actually Fangbone has a ways to go after Fieldtrip. The series is 52 x 11 min eps (or 26 x 22 mins).

The info is on Radical Sheep's website, but my n00b status won't let me post a link. Its there if someone wants to source it.

I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
