Really?
Since the show is coming to the US at the end of May, I decided to make a talkback thread about it.
The epic action-comedy show (based on a book series) is created by the Canadian companies Radical Sheep Productions and Pipeline Studios for DHX's Family Chrgd (formerly Disney XD Canada) and it's about a third grade barbarian called Fangbone from the world of Skullbania who ends up in the suburbs of Earth to protect the magical toe of Drool, the main villain of the animated series, along with his friend Bill. It's a decent cartoon from Canada.

I don't see something like this taking off - it feels like Canada's answer / response to Star Vs. being a hit... And it's not a very strong or effective one of either, just reading that synopsis, sadly. I'm sure someone will like it more than I do, though.

Saw the episodes that already aired in Canada, and it is actually incredibly enjoyable
also rather gory by kids shows standars

I mean, it shamelessly goes after the popularity of Star vs the Forces of Evil, but it does so very well, perfectly understanding what made Star so enjoyable to begin with (not to mention avoiding some of Star's shortcomings)
Also, the most recent episode had some pretty good character developement

also love the themesong

That opening does look promising enough, I'll admit.

I first got to see a mention of the show on DHX Media's official website back in February. I watched the few clips that were around and they were actually fabulous. I'm really liking it.

Same here and they been releasing a numerous amount of episodes online, I find it my next interest.

So, how good is this show? I just might have to give it a chance, after all.

I'd describe it as Star vs the Forces of Evil, if you completely removed the shipping and jerky classmates
if that sounds appealing to you, go for it

The Series Premieres on Saturday, May 28th at 10:00 pm, i don't know why the late time.

10pm? Seriously, 10pm? On Saturday night? Or is it supposed to be at 10am?

reporting from the most recent episode

things are getting awesome

I think that theme song was picked by the viewers. Good choice!
It's not enough the show is similar to Star vs, it's also animated by Mercury Filmworks, who did the first few episodes and the intro to Star vs!

However, it's more fantasy-themed
than Star vs. the Forces of Evil.

Mercury Filmworks only animated the first episode, which was originally aired as a pilot on DHX's Disney XD (which is now called Family Chrgd since Corus bought the Canadian rights to Disney shows).

I've only seen the latest effort so far, and I must say this show is not bad in the slightest! I don't see it beating Star Vs., sadly - but yeah. I can agree that this show is actually quite good (especially for something from a place that's easy to bash for it's animation like Canada...).

Compared to others, I'm more lenient on Canadian cartoons from the past decade due to understanding how their industry's "ecosystem" works and it's effects on the nation's output.
That being said, this is one of the best cartoons to come out of the country in a long time.

I wonder who handles the animation now, it looks like Jam Filled Entertainment or House of Cool (I confuse the two).
Basically it looks like the studio that does Camp Lakebottom and The Loud House.

Don't even bother tuning in to Disney XD at 10PM for Fangbone - THEY REMOVED IT.

@superkeegan9100 - what a load of trash. I don't see this being as noteworthy as Star Vs. is to people, but to not give something a chance at all won't, nor ever does, help matters!

I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
Europeans right now are experiencing the same Heatwave that africans face on a daily basis lol

honestly I like to think of this as some kind of "payback" too
But more exciting will be THIS! A new documentary about CN coming soon next year and looks like they even aknowledge Cramp Twins :ack:

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)
