- I would give Toon Disney and Jetix two seperate channels. Jetix has too many shows to just share air time with Toon Disney, and vice versa.
I would wait another decade before doing that. At this point, TD and Jetix don't have enough of their own programming to fill up a single network (not counting outside shows like The Tick, Batman The Animated Series, Superman, Jackie Chan Adventures and Pinky & The Brain).
Infact, if you were to (Using the weekday schedule for an example):
A. Take all of the Disney Channel toons off the block (The Replacements, Lilo & Stitch and Brandy & Mr Whiskers). Now you have room for 3 shows.
B. If Power Rangers can air among Disney's toons and sitcoms on ABC Kids, then it should be allowed to air with them on the Disney Channel whether it's for boy or girl. It could even be used to bridge the gap between the toons and the sitcoms. If it stays on Toon Disney, then they need to air as one show rather than being spread out through the schedule (being that they range from 32-38 episodes). Doing that leaves room for 4-5 shows.
C. Whether it's the graveyard slot or not, Silverwing should be kept on weekends only, unless there are plans to go beyond 13 episodes. Leaves room for 1 new show.
D. You have programs that have about 36-39 episodes, while long enough for weekdays could be set in rotation.
1. For the Toon Disney portion, pair up House Of Mouse with The Legend Of Tarzan. After all episodes of HOM air, then switch to TLOT. Between the two of them you have 78 episodes. Maybe add Quack Pack to the mix and you get 117 episodes. Thus you have room for one new show.
2. Same thing with above, but put Shinzo (39 episodes), The Tick (36 episodes) and Legend Of The Dragon (39 episodes) in rotation. You get 114 episodes all together. Thus you have room for two new shows.
E. Get rid of their two hour marathon block (treasure cove). Room for 4 new shows.
If you followed my airing suggestions, you have room for 15-16 shows, thus no reason to separate Toon Disney and Jetix. Even if the Disney Channel toons remain you still have room for 12-13 shows. Perhaps after a decade or two, they'll have enough home grown shows to give them a separate network.
Since I'm posting, I'll add my third idea.
3. The weekends need to actually differ from the weekday line up. Here are the requirements for a show being on the weekend:
A. It has up to 13-26 episodes only.
B. New episode premiere's of a continuing show (Power Rangers, Pucca, Yin Yang Yo, etc).
C. Weekday shows that extend beyond 65 episodes (Gargoyles, Goof Troops, Kim Possible, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Aladdin, Digimon and Power Rangers)
