Avatar Studios Projects - News and Discussion (Spoilers)

I don't think this really needed to be its own thread since it was about Avatar, so I merged it into that thread.

You missed the point I wanted to make. It wasnt about Avatar, but rather USA beginning to embrace animation that is amazingly stylized and impressive, not just Disney esque consistent but unimpressive fare. But whatever, it seems the first movie to start this trend wont be Avatar. It's too soon to be making that thread anyway. I will make it when some OTHER film comes around and starts this trend. Demon Slayer, MHA and so many anime movies have made so much money with their animation. I really hoped USA could join in...

I really hope we are getting Ufotable worthy animation on an american movie, that would be so great.

All I want for this to not a Pixar clone, I dont watch Avatar to watch a Pixar movie.

"The First Image From Avatar: Seven Havens Is Here"

"It’s SDCC time, and the first major bombshell is the world premiere of the first public image from Avatar: Seven Havens. The third Avatar series was formally announced last February by Nickelodeon and creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

What you’re seeing is Pavi, the latest Avatar and a born Earthbender, strolling down the path toward the city of Aurora, a locale we should learn more about soon. Pavi has a twin (who isn’t the Avatar), but they are not in this picture…we’re told the other human figure is Pavi’s mentor Jae. Who’s the cute kitty, and what other animal is it a crossbreed of?

We noticed one other thing….PAVI HAS A PEG-LEG!"

I know this is a concept art but the designs looks nothing like the original avatar animated series designs

You know this could be a showcase of just how much the world has changed over time like how in Legend of Korra Avatar Wan had such a different looking artstyle to showcase how his world looked compared to Aang and Korra's and yeah this obviously isn't like thousands of years forward but it is clear things have changed drastically so I'm fine with them using the artstyle to showcase that.

It is clear just from this image how much different Pavi will be as a character compared to Korra which hey I'm all for each Avatar should really feel different from the next. And though part of me kind of wants a big upfront explanation for what exactly happened from a narrative/story perspective it would make more sense if they slowly breadcrumbed throughout like the first season what exactly happened to this world to exactly create the Havens and how much real fault would Korra have had in this.

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" gets 2026 fighting video game and animated YouTube series .

A chibi-style, 2D animated series of short videos also debuted, which will be available to watch on YouTube. The shorts will reimagine classic scenes from the original “Avatar” series, the comics and offer original stories. One of the videos adorably parodies the premiere episode with Katar and Sokka discovering Aang and battling Zuko and the Fire Nation.

Nick basically telling Disney: "Yeah, we can do chibi versions of our most famous properties too" :rolleyes2:.

That fighting game might end up being the best Avatar game yet...if they can deliver on it...

Not only that, they did first.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
