From Kyle Marshall, former Director/Co-EP of The Loud House.

Sneak peek feels similar to the new TMNT series. Looks like there's potential so far.

"Nickelodeon Announces New Nicktoon “Wylde Pak”"

"Today, Nickelodeon announced a new Nicktoon, Wylde Pak, which follows the daily life of a blended multigenerational Korean American family. Inspired by the lives of co-creators and executive producers Paul Watling (The Tiger’s Apprentice) and Kyle Marshall (The Loud House), the 26 episode series follows half siblings Lily and Jack as they learn to navigate new family dynamics under one roof for the first time. The series is slated to debut this summer. A clip was released.

“Nickelodeon’s commitment to showcasing stories about the human experience, filled with humor and adventure, holds true with the debut of the original series Wylde Pak,” said Ramsey Naito, President of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation. “We can’t wait for our audience to meet this wonderfully blended family, which encapsulates what it means to be a modern family navigating the world around them while learning more about each other along the way.”"

I like how this looks, I think saw something about this or something it looks familiar. I will probably check it out.

If Nick Cancels this they will have hit rock bottom.

I saw the clip online a few days ago, but I didn't watch it in full until now. Looks stylish and charming!

Is that Mercury Filmworks on the animation? The "boiling" lines look reminiscent of "Hilda" on Netflix.

The first full episode of Wylde Pak is now available on nick.com.

It has the design mechanisms of The Loud House (considering the co-creator Kyle Marshall was on that show and its movies, ain't hard to tell), but the slice of life writing is so much better than the former by miles (so far).

Hopefully the series maintains its charm that the pilot had and actually last a few seasons. And also not become stale, monotonous, and boring like the former show after its 1st season.

"“Wylde Pak” Premieres June 6th on Nickelodeon"

Wylde-Pak-Poster.jpg

"Today, Nickelodeon announced that the newest Nicktoon, Wylde Pak, will premiere on Friday, June 6th at 7:30 P.M. ET/PT in the U.S. and later this year internationally. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, Wylde Pak centers on half siblings Lily and Jack learn to navigate new family dynamics of a multigenerational and multicultural blended family under one roof for the first time.

In the half-hour first episode, “Best Summer Ever?,” Jack and Lily are half siblings living on opposite ends of the world—until Jack shows up on Lily’s doorstep for the summer. Their arguing sends the family’s new grooming trailer careening through town and they must save their family’s livelihood and Halmoni, who is stuck inside. The episode can be seen now on YouTube.

A trailer is also on YouTube.

Honestly pretty tired of these "life with my big/new/crazy family" slice of life shows.

I just saw the pilot, and I think that it looks quite promising.

I watched the pilot too - I found it really endearing! Laughed out loud more than expected. Between "Invincible" and this, it's nice to hear Gillian Jacobs in more voice acting roles to boot.

Hopefully Nick treats this right so it can grow an audience.

Saw the first episode today when it aired. I liked it so far. It had a very earthy charm to it. It looks nice and the characters are interesting.

Not a bad show. Hope it can last for more than a season.

"Review: A First Look at the Wild World of “Wylde Pak”"

Screenshot-141.jpg

"Wylde Pak has premiered as the newest Nickelodeon animated series. The series follows 13-year-old Jack Wylde as he spends the summer with his dad, stepmother, step-grandmother, and half-sister, 11-year-old Lily Pak, as they live together for the first time. It is a series about family life and the dynamics of a blended Korean American family. Through Jack and Lily, affectionately known as Lil, the series explores a relationship type rarely seen in children’s media: that of half-siblings. The series is co-created by Kyle Marshall, who worked on The Loud House (a different Nick series), and Paul Watling.

Since the show has just come out, I have decided to make my first impressions of the series. The first episode, “Best Summer Ever?” sets up the entire series with a double-length episode. In the first half, we see Lily with her parents and grandmother as summer is about to start. She has the goal of using an extra room in their home as a gaming room. The family has a pet grooming business that has been using the room.

While Lily’s life is one of domestic chaos—albeit minor—Jack’s life is different. He lives with his mom, Alice Kelly, a documentarian whose work takes her around the world. Jack enjoys this lifestyle, but there are signs that he feels lonely. His mother seems to have started worrying about his safety and life this way."

According to TV Insider, Wylde Pak reruns have been pulled for this Saturday and Sunday. It's only limited to new episodes every Fridays. Fri Jul 4 are on hiatus due to movies airings. New episodes return on July 11.

According to programming insider, Wylde Pak new episode last Saturday night got 74,000 viewers.

This is so sad. I wasnt too in love with the show, its just a Loud House clone with a different gimmick, but it was still a new show and these ratings have pretty much ensured Nick will kill it off.
