Worst Disney Sequel?

You all may remember the Disney direct to video sequels that were released from 1994 up till 2007 or 2008. These titles were obviously released to give Disney a bit of dough while still giving their franchises a bit of Oomph. Obviously there are some people that like Disney sequels but if you had to pick one....
just one Disney sequel you despise and loathe then which one would it be?

(Yes you can also include Return To Neverland and Jungle Book 2 if you want)

The sequel I really hate is Hunchback Of Notre Dame 2. Such a terrible sequel all round with some hideous animation, cringingly bad songs and a miserable excuse for a villain. To me this film only exists just to get Quasimodo a girlfriend and that's it.

Now that I've chosen my worst sequel which one is yours?

I have only seen five Disney sequels: Kronk's New Groove, Stitch The Movie, Toy Story 2, Jungle Book 2 and Tarzan 2
But I suppose Tarzan & Jane is the worst sequel. It's just 3 episodes of The Legend of Tarzan, and that was a horrible series. 75 minutes of boring plots and flat characters guaranteed.

Heh heh, they did the same thing with Atlantis: Milo's Return except unlike Tarzan they ended up cancelling the TV series they were gonna do because The Lost Empire flopped. I haven't seen the first or Milo's Return, don't plan on seeing the second since it's basically Tarzan & Jane all over again.

They did the same with Hercules as well, but at least the Hercules series was enjoyable at times :)

I don't know if it's the worst, but The Fox and the Hound feels like the most pointless. The original story ended pretty definitely and the sequel added nothing to it.

I remember being so excited for Mulan 2 when it was announced. I loved the original movie and I actually liked most of the Disney sequels I had seen up to that point, so I was pretty eager to get it. And then I watched it.

Mulan 2 was easily the worst one for me. The songs were pretty awful, Mushu was extremely unlikable, the relationships between the princesses and the three soldiers felt kind of weak and the tension between Mulan and Shang felt just annoying. It basically took everything that I loved about the original out of it and replaced it with boring/unlikable characters. I do still think that a good chuck of the Disney sequels are pretty good or at least enjoyable, but Mulan 2 is one movie I could never like.

I haven't seen the Fox and the Hound 2, but I could see that being high up on the list given how it would add nothing to the story and the original movie would turn out the same regardless of that movie's conflict. It's why I don't usually like prequels or in this case a mid-quel. Oddly enough, Bambi 2 was a good example of a midquel done effectively in my opinion. While it might not have been necessary or changed the outcome of the original movie, it did actually expand on the original movie with focusing on Bambi's relationship with his father and dealing with the loss of his mother, which was glanced over in the original. I also thought that Bambi 2 was far in a way more watchable and enjoyable than the original Bambi.

Both Cinderella 2 and Milo's Return would fall into the "well that happened" kind of category of bad for me. While they weren't quite as bad as Mulan 2, they both felt kind of like nothing was accomplished or tacked on, especially with the ending to Milo's Return. Knowing that they were made from three episodes of a rejected TV show made so much sense when I learned about it. That format did work a bit more for Cinderella 2 or maybe it was because of how they didn't end the movie on a world shattering development like Atlantis joining the rest of the world again.

Of the ones I've seen, I'm going with Hunchback 2. The animation was completely atrocious for a Disney product. It looked like a Saturday morning cartoon from the '80's. The plot was completely pointless too.

Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 was an abomination in the eyes of God. There is no other Disney sequel that falls so far from its predecessor.

Yeah, Mulan 2 was terrible. I mean out of all the villains they could have made they had to make Mushu the bad one. I bet Eddie Murphy was sighing with relief that he didn't come back for that one. Cinderella 2 was absolutely awful, the terrible and boring stories made the whole thing look and pretty much feel like a half hearted TV show with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

I'm sure that they couldn't even afford to get Eddie Murphy back for a direct to video sequel. The guy who voiced Mushu did sound a lot like Eddie Murphay, but they just had to make him unlikable. He was self-centered in the first movie too, but at least he still cared about Mulan and did regret his actions near the end. This movie just turned that behavior to eleven.

I'm not even sure how a Cinderella TV series would really work. Making an Atlantis series at least made sense given the many characters involved in the movie and the idea of searching around for items to lead up to Atlantis rejoining the world sounds cool on paper at least. But Cinderella dealing with her life as a princess and the supporting characters getting into their own situation doesn't really lead to much potential for a TV series.

I don't know either, but there was a 1996 anime called The Story of Cinderella which I thought was pretty good especially for its time. So a Cinderella weekly TV series could work, just not what Disney tried to do.

Belle's Magical World. The idea of people having to pay to see episodes from a failed television series is pretty sleazy already, but this "movie" is so agonizing and dull to watch that it's admittedly pretty hard to watch it in one sitting, at least for me.

It's probably my most hated sequel of all, the animation is truly diabolical, I'm so glad they never planned it for theatres. This just reeks of a failed TV show and nothing more. (straight down to the fact there's fade out parts here and there for commercial breaks) Basically the film's just Belle and Beast arguing at each other for an hour or so with all character traits and likability thrown out the window just for Michael Eisner to stuff his face with money and for the Mouse House to make a quick buck or two. I honestly was interested at the film when I was younger but I'm so glad I never had a copy.

Here is one thing I had gripe with was the other humans able to communicate with Baloo and the other animals, that makes sense, I am sure the only reason the boy could understand the animals because he was raised in that environment, am I right people?

It must of been really bad because I don't remember it even happening.

Well, since terrible shows like The Legend of Tarzan and The Little Mermaid got picked up, but not the Belle and the Beast series, that movie must be the worst thing ever

Has anyone here ever taken a tour of the Cartoon Network Studios building in Burbank, CA before it closed? I really wish I could have :(
To celebrate the fact that I got three weeks off from work for rest, I watched today the latest installment in the separate Minions series of movies. What I loved was the unique logo variation of the Universal logo, which was akin to the plot taking place in the late 1800s
