Webtoon Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation to Co-Produce Adaptations of 10 Popular Webcomics
Webtoon Entertainment is developing a slate of 10 animated projects with Warner Bros. Animation based on Webtoon creators' webcomics.
Warner Bros. Animation has reached an agreement with the popular webcomic platform Webtoon to produce animated adaptations of 10 of its titles. The comic's authors will still retain the rights to their IPs and will receive a portion of the revenue, as per the agreement.
We don't have a complete list yet, but 4 of the 10 titles have been announced:
“The Stellar Swordmaster” by Hong Dae Ui, juno and Q10: The so-called “Lighthouse of the North,” the prosperous trading town of Schoarra, hides a dark underbelly: seedy slums ruled by five ruthless crime bosses. When streetwise orphan Vlad finds the brothel he works for decimated by a disgraced knight, he turns to the path of the blade, pledging himself to the pursuit of power by sword.

“Elf & Warrior” by AC Stuart, Victor Rosas II: A young half-elf discovers the challenges and gray areas involved in being a hero as he travels with his uncle’s band of miscreants and outlaws.
