"Ultraman Omega" Series Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

It must be surreal to be someone whose job is literally to investigate Kaiju...and a reporter would rather interview two guys who always seem to have more information/insight than you do.

Sorato feels like the type of guy who will try anything once.

Oh sweet Mother of Ultra, she's NARRATING while she's filming. And Kosei has virtually no privacy.

Demaaga! Still as fiery as ever!

Trigaron: (After seeing Demaaga sink into and escape via the magma underneath) "Yeah, I ain't going into that."

I really thought Maki was going to pursue the lead with how suspicious the duos' disappearance and reappearance was.

I love how resigned and accepting Ayu has become of how weird Sorato and Kosei are. She's basically just numb to their antics.

Dang, it's only the 2nd day of filming and the dream team is already having problems.

I mean, I get where Sorato is coming from, but this worlds' government probably WOULD experiment on him and it really would be a bad look if they told this reporter lady they've only known for two days his secret before they told Ayu.

Honestly knowing how Japanese citizens can get and how the Kaiju outbreak is relatively recent, I can totally believe how apathetic the average joe is about the situation.

I love how we've gotten to a point where the Meteor Kaiju are fighting each other for who gets to get summoned.

What to do when you're getting bombarded by fireballs? Summon Rekiness and have him use his TK to throw them away! Whose a good boy? Rekiness is as good boy!

Omega has really mastered Armor call charades.

It was probably smart to lift Demaaga into the sky to destroy him considering how much heat he absorbed and how big the explosion was.

I love how they didn't bother to name Demaaga until AFTER he was dead and they give him one big beautiful RIP tribute in the process.

Congratulations Omega, you have a fangirl! Even if she doesn't even know your name!

As someone who's last Ultraman show was Tiga on the Fox Box, I went into this with no real knowledge of the franchise and I had a blast watching this. Sorato is such a good protagonist and his actor did a good job portraying him as an alien learning about humans on Earth. I also loved the supporting cast and the fights and kaiju designs were top-notch. Definitely would recommend this show to people who have never seen Ultraman before.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
