Anyone seen this anime?
if so what is it about, i can't find any information on it anywhere.

All i know is Mokona is on the anime :D

I've seen the first 5 episodes and have all 6 volumes of the manga released in the U.S.

It's a blending of all of CLAMP's works. Shaoran and Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura are the stars, though they're much older and from a different universe. The cast from XXXholic frequently cameo, and various others from X, Magic Knights Rayearth, Chobits, RG Veda, and CLAMP's other works pop in and out.

Mokona is used to travel to different dimensions and other such celestial stuff.

I'm not sure if the anime has picked up yet, but from what I saw it was kinda slow, which isn't strange considering that's done by the same people that did .hack//SIGN...

The manga, however, friggin rules and is a definite buy.

I personally love the anime. Of course, I loved .hack//SIGN as well. Then again, I loathe NOIR, which was directed by Koichi Mashimo as well. I guess it's a love it or hate it series. But regardless, I'd suggest you check it out for yourself, or better yet, get the manga instead. Almost all CLAMP series' are better in manga form than it's TV counterpart.

In related context, the soundtrack to Tsubasa is absolutly beautiful. More so than Noir's or .hack's.

Cool, since it's a major Clamp crossover series, maybe i can use this thread to clear some Clamp questions i have,

Let's see if i got this correctly, Cardcaptors is the horrible dub they did and Cardcaptors Sakura is the one that is faitfull right?
Is that series any good? Did the anime get all their episodes released on DVD?

What about the other Clamp series you mentioned? XXXholic,X, Magic Knights Rayearth, Chobits, RG Ved. Which ones do you guys recommend?

Hope it wasn't question overload :D

The French dub of CCS is uncut and unedited. I give credit where credit is due and the Ocean Group voice actors get a lot of my credit. It's not easy what they did.

Manga: CCS is 12 volumes long; X is 18 (so far) volumes long; Chobits is 8 volumes long, Magic Knight Rayearth is 6 volumes long; RG Veda is 10 volumes long. XXXholic? No idea.

The manga just completely rules. I really enjoy reading it. However, the anime is way too slow for my tastes. I gave up on episode 12, but I'm still buying the manga.

I liked .hack as well (been meaning to get the boxset), and I too think Tsubasa's OST rules.

Cardcaptor Sakura is subbed-only right now in the U.S. The only properly dubbed CCS were the movies (1 had a crappy dub, 2 had an awesome dub). You should still be able to find Movie #2 in Suncoast and a few Best Buys. Geneon is releasing a thin-pak boxset of the first season (which is the first 9 DVDs) pretty soon, with the 2nd & 3rd seasons (the second 9 DVDs) coming out either at the end of this year or early next year.

I highly recommend it, but if you don't like creepy relationships (like cousins getting married, yaoi relationships, etc.) you'll likely be weirded out, but it's balanced out by the tons upon tons upon tons of adorable cuteness.

The only ones I've seen are the Rayearth OAV (which is pretty good, but really rare), RG Veda (which is only $10, but rather crappy since the only animated a selection of the manga), and Chobits (which was pretty decent, though it's recieved a bit of criticism lately from the folks around here). I do know that XXXholic is manga-only even in Japan, though I hear a movie is planned.

Cardcaptor Sakura is really good, it may seem like it's generic within the first couple of episodes, but it veers off from the whole "collect em all" series'. I suggest you get the boxsets.

X is really good in both manga and anime. There's also a movie, but watch that after you watch the tv series becuase it's very trippy, and at times, funny (becuase they made it when X only had some...what 4 manga volumes?) Magic Knight Rayearth is timeless so watch that too.
Actualy, screw it, they're all good. There's no CLAMP anime that I woudn't recomend, except maybe Chobits, if you can help it, get the manga instead.

As for manga, two of my all time favorites are WISH and Clover. Must read.

Most of CLAMP is rather good, but Chobits is--well, I'll be charitable and say that its garbage. I say that in regards to the anime, if you must have a look then follow the advice of others and look at the manga. I don't know how much of an improvement it really is, but then again I'd like to think that you can't really do worse than that Godawful show in the first place.

Tsubasa the manga is great. The TV show is...uneven. The score is amazing and the show can be entertaining but it can also really drag sometimes. It certainly did at the start after the first episode, streaching out the first arc for much longer than it needed to be. Then again we've also have situations where an entire visit only takes one episode. My full opinion on it is incomplete, but I will agree with what others have said and say that if you read the manga you can't go wrong.

Tsubasa is currently my favorite manga series. While I didn't really get into CCS, I really like Syaoran and Sakura in this series, and I'm looking forward to finding out how their story ends. The other two main characters, Kurogane and Fai D. Flowright, are hilarious in almost every scene they're in. And of course, Mokona is adorable.
The anime is... okay. It started out slow, but it's been improving in the more recent episodes. I don't really think there's any way to ruin the Outo arc (manga volumes 5-7 and beginning with episode 17 in the anime). I'll recommend it, but the manga is definitely better.

Thanks for the opinons, even though i know MKR is great but i just copied and pasted and forgot to erase it

I def. want to check out CCS so i'll try to get the thin-pack, and i'll try checking the other ones later as well.

And i might buy the Tsubasa Chronicles manga, I usually just buy Manga of Anime i know i like, to see the differences. But this time i'll actually pick up a Manga first.

Whilest on the subject of the manga, is it me or has Clamp goten into drawing Shaoran's attacks a lot like One Piece?

It might just be me but I just think there's a simerlity.

Tsubasa Chronicles, the anime, is sort of, meh. I like it enough to continue watching it, but it's mostly because I like playing 'Spot the Ref' and I LOVE the score for the series.

The anime is following the manga fairly closely, but then the anime is ADDING even more to the story than the manga did. At one point, this caused a small continuity flaw (IMO) and it certainly slows down the series a great deal. If you didn't like the slowness in .hack//SIGN, you may not like the anime since it is the same folks doing Tsubasa.

I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
I might be the only one who cares but why is Scooby Doo basically unavailable everywhere? Netflix has only Mystery Inc and the two James Gunn movies. Tubi has What's New and Where Are You. Meanwhile HBO Max has basically nothing. I've been itching to watch the classic Scooby Doo direct to video movies lately and they're nowhere to be found outside of purchasing them on sites like YouTube.
Last night started watching a new adult animated series, a Netflix original that is basically the succesor to Big Mouth.

What is so great? Despite being a 18+ show, they actually bothered to give it a Romanian dub :ack::eek:
