This week...
Steven brings clothing to life to help a boy with his job.

"I'm not fries!"

That made me laugh so hard

Is Frybo the kid from The Middle?

Lord, that thing's face is disturbing.

This episode was pretty good.

I sometimes zone out when people lecture me too, Steven. They usually don't figure it out.

A crystal that brings clothes to life. It's kinda like the rat talisman from Jackie Chan Adventures.

The Frybo kid's voice is weird. I gotta figure out who voices him.

I should've known that the mascot suit was going to turn evil. It's like that rabbit mascot thing from Silent Hill.

Oh snap, Frybo took a spear to the eye. The ketchup blood was a nice touch.

Don't make that face when you're naked bro.

This is by far the most out-there episode we have gotten so far, which is saying something for a show like this. And honestly, some of it got kind of uncomfortable for my tastes, so this is a lower-tier one for me so far, which is still halfway decent.

I liked the animation during most of the climax, with some admirable fast pacing in areas, and the possessed Frybo thing brought some funny stuff to the table. I really don't have much else to say about this episode as of now, so yeah.

Man, that kid was having a mid-life crisis at 13 years old. I think this might be my favorite episode so far, it felt really "out-there" while still being grounded.

Pretty good episode, I like how we saw some of the designs for the townspeople and gave the limelight for the different citizens of said town. I also like

Now let´s see if some critics still thinks this show is bland after this ep.

Seems like Pearl is the staff favorite.

One thing that's really cool about Steven, it's that he's honest. When he mess up, he's always the one hardest on himself, and the one who works the hardest to fix things. He doesn't run away from his failures.

Seeing Steven tell the truth about screwing up was pretty good writing there. Unfortunately, this episode will be an easily bashed one in hindsight, mostly due to having Steven strip naked, just to beat whatever monster-of-the-week was - I would've preferred Pearl save the day on this one, IMHO, if only so it didn't come to... what I had just pointed out, sadly.

I bet naked Steven is gonna get the soccer moms angry.

Boy, Fry-Kid sure is wise beyond his years. But I suppose geting treated several years older than you actually are will do that to ya.

Sentient Frybo went from hilarious to nightmarish in mere seconds. I can't say that I saw Steven's plan to defeat Frybo coming, but it got some huge laughs out of me.

Did I mention that I really enjoy the character designs of the Bay City civilians? It's a welcome departure from the rubber-hose style Adventure Time and Regular Show brought to the table.

Really this was a good episode. They've appealed to pretty much every emotion here.
I liked the dialogue. Steven exclaiming to the walking pants "That's ususual!" was almost as funny as it was in the promos.

Steven's underwear beating up Frybo was a scene I'll never forget. I got a good laugh at it. The look of the creepy possessed Frybo was pretty clever.

Overall this episode was well set up well. Beginning to really like the style of humor in the show. Really can't wait to see the next episode, I'm definitely liking the show so far.

What was that costume made from? The seagulls sure seemed to think it was delicious.

Steven getting naked was nothing weird to me.
Dexter used to get naked quite often back in the day

Ketchup blood and mustard guts.
Way to get crap past the radar.

Is it bad that I can relate to the kid?

Yeah, Petey Fryman was voiced by Atticus Shaffer ("Brick" from The Middle). Also, I'm pretty sure the cop being squeezed by Frybo was voiced by Sinbad.

Thanks for posting that pic, Matt. It's so weird -- I literally just came back from struggling to read the tiny voice credits on CN's split screen for this episode. Yeah, I guess Sinbad was uncredited. And where was this "Sourcream" character...?

Here's a fun article I wrote on why Ruby and Jade from Sofia The First are good characters.
Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
