Silver's probably off looking for apocalypse-prevention clues, and Shadow isn't much of a party guy. Unless, in a tribute to #160/161 of the comic, he drops in with knocked-out baddies, announcing "Happy birthday, blue hedgehog. I cleaned your yard for you." Oh man, would that rock.

Shadow and Silver aren't there because Sonic's party is a No Clone Zone.

This may be biased since I adore Big the Cat, but where is he in the opening cutscene? I can understand why Shadow isn't there (not much of a party person he is), can't say much on Silver since I haven't played any games he was in, but no Big? He's not Sonic's closest friend, but neither is Rouge (who I'm surprised is in the group - maybe she came for Knuckles ^^).

Sega is trying really hard to make us forger every mistake they've made, so Big, Shadow, and Silver aren't there. I'm joking, but only kinda...

I didn't really mind big in Sonic Chronicles, BTW...

I can understand why Big isn't there to some extent, just generally because he's really found fishing, sleeping, and looking for his darn frog. I think they were actually being realistic in terms of who Sonic is actually really friends with this time.

Silver is in the future and Shadow is probably up in a tree in the background being his anti hero self.

Yeah, but that still doesn't explain Rouge - she and Sonic have never been close (and the only reason why I can see her there is just for Knuckles). Big isn't either, but he's associated with Amy and Cream and has shown he's capable of being there for his friends when needed.

Bah, the lack of Big makes for one sad Neo Yi. XD

In the picture, there a lake behind them. Big is probably there fishing for fish so that the guests can eat something other than chili dogs at the party . Now I am curious where Shade is at? Clearly if Sonic is celebrating his 20th birthday then Sonic Chronicles is canon (two year time skip remember).

It includes:

• Art book encompassing 20 years of Sonic history

However, there's one catch...

It's only for Europe.

I've been waiting to pre-order the game just in case a Collectors Edition like this would be announced, and when they do its Europe only! What the hell Sega!?

C'mon, how can Sega not release this in the US? Its Sonic's 20th for crying out loud and he's only going to have one 20th! This is huge! The set is pretty much every thing I was hoping for in the Collectors Edition.

Hopefully Sega America will announce something similar to this, but with the release so close I'm losing hope. I was ready to drop $100 on something like this, man what a kick in the face to US Sonic fans.

Confirmed: No Wii version because we're getting it on the WiiU, although it will depend on how good the 360/PS3 versions do.
