Trust me, there's better anime out there. Anime quality assurance is equal to that of our own American cartoons.
It all depends on the network themselves. Cartoon Network was terrible in 2005-2007, and they had returned since 2009. From 2009-present, it has been great in my eyes, only for a certain few.
Nickelodeon cartoons are hit and miss, and they always have been that, after the "Nick Boom," from 1991-2004, maybe 2005. Nickelodeon has now terrible cartoons that are beyond unintelligent (i.e., Fanboy and Chum Chum)..... Nick has now been going down a downward spiral that I doubt that they can revive from... Live-action shows were excellent and were what saved it, such as: All That, Kenan and Kel, The Amanda Show, Drake & Josh, Clarissa Explains It All, Cousin Skeeter, Ned's Declassified, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, etc, etc. Of course, there were terrible live action shows: Romeo....
Someone is going to admit it: Disney hasn't had a good cartoon in so long that I forgot how good they're are; except for Phineas and Ferb. Disney XD has the best cartoons on any Disney Channel out these days.
Anime quality, yet again depends on the genre, just like American cartoons. Or the network that they're on...
It's unfortunate that we probably won't be seeing anymore new shows this season. But hopefully this leads to a stronger fall schedule. If they can get a new Yu-gi-oh show, new episodes of DBZ Kai, new episodes of Digimon Fusion, and maybe Sendokai Champions, they might be onto something.
They'll probably have to stick with Yu-gi-oh classic, I'm not really sure how to feel about that. Battle City is the best season in my eyes.
So if they get those (and I'm not really confident they can get any of those other than Yu-gi-oh) they'd need 5 more shows beyond those to fill out the block. 2 of which are E/I.2
That might be a tall order to fill if they don't keep some of the shows they have on the block right now like Sonic X or Rescue Heroes. But I'd be really impressed if Sonic X, Rescue Heroes, JLU, Spectacular Spider-man, and Bolts and Blip don't make it on the fall schedule.
Although I could see why they would give Spectacular Spider-man a 3rd run.
Vortexx will not broadcast new shows in the fall?... Wow. I do not know how this will work for this block, I'm talking to you CW and 4Kids... You cannot always rely on Dragonball Z Kai, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon Fusion, and Sonic X as your main source of how you get profit and viewers entirely.
I agree that they should keep the Original Yu-Gi-Oh! series but not Zexal, nor should they acquire 5D's ("CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES," YAYYY!!! that was a joke.... it made WWE look real). I think the best one besides the original Yu-Gi-Oh is GX. GX is one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! franchises out there, besides the original (obviously).
E/I regulations and the minimum amount of hours that need to be on your station whenever you have cartoons, before it can be considered a real station. Someone told me once, that if you do not have the minimum amount of hours for children's programming on your television station, you could lose your license. I thought that was a joke... no wonder there's a decrease in children's programming on local television - whether if its E/I or not - because of the law that they put into place... Other than shows from 8am-noon, they still need to find an hour past 7am to make the E/I regulations and abide by it. Sure, there are the majority that have children's programming every day, from 7am-9am, or from 2pm-4pm (only in some markets or stations), and even if they do not, they will have to broadcast on Saturday morning for three hours. If you look at it: 7am-10am will be the E/I time, and the 10am-noon will be normal schedule, if they were to extended to past noon, maybe 1pm (if they would be able to by local or national networks), even it would balance and bypass the E/I dumb law, for the week.
Shows not on the fall schedule?:
Sonic X - yes, you know how many times it has been on the schedule with reruns? 4-5, maybe 6 times
The Spectacular Spider Man - eh. it has reran season 1 & 2 already, it has already ran its course, but the reruns? I'm mixed on this show anyway, so yes. I did liked it back when it was on Kids' WB when it had premiered, back in 2008. Now I think it has ran its course to extent and it is redundant. I would only leave it on for nostalgia.
Justice League Unlimited - no
Rescue Heroes - no
Bolts & Blips - yes
Spectacular Spider Man is given 3rd run? Yes. More than 3? No. It will not be like Sonic X, which had a major toy and video game product promotions; however, at least it is not like Yu-Gi-Oh! back in early 2000's with the cards, toys, cereal, etc, etc, it was everywhere.. Well Pokemon was too...
