Not getting to that
So, many of us remember Vortexx, the block that aired on The CW from 2012 to 2014(aka the good ole' days), as the last REAL Saturday Morning block.

So, because...well, just because, I made this thread to talk about it.

Oh, and I do have a idea about how Vortexx could have continued.

I love that people kept saying that Vortexx had "Really low ratings" until it became clear that TV Ratings (ESPECIALLY for Kids TV and MOST CERTAINLY for The CW) have reached an all time low.

I think KidsClick counts as the last real Saturday morning block - they had plenty of cartoons, some good, some...not. But Vortexx was the last one I really paid any attention to. And I mean really paid attention to, and it was ridiculous some of the crap they had to deal with. Having to censor Justice League Unlimited and Transformers: Prime of all things?

The matter of fact is that the national networks wish they could shave off children's programming entirely, but the FCC stubbornly still thinks a) kids are watching linear television and b) they're turning it to "educational" programming no matter how cheaply produced, so the closest loophole is the general audience/teen-oriented if the FCC asks programs about animals and outer space. (The only person I've seen actually watch one of these is my 75-year-old grandfather.)

We're more likely to see those slots get filled with extra news or paid programming then we are to see another linear Saturday morning block again.

Yeah, Vortexx was a great idea came too late, and the censorship of Justice League Unlimited and Transformers: Prime wasn't really needed. But for the time, it was the last place action cartoons REALLY had the spotlight.

If Vortexx was revived today as a digital subchannel with a FAST counterpart, then it could do well if they play their cards right.

And at least Vortexx got SOME ratings for it's time, today, the big 3 can hardly even crack 100k, CN because.....we're not getting into that here, Nick because their incomptentence had done finally caught up to them and I'm not even gonna bring Disney into the conversation..........

I know this is circular logic from me but the censorship was needed because they wouldnt air the show without it. And as bad as the censorship was the ratings did show the show was a sucess with in spite of it. The CW didnt know that the time would come where Vortexx's ratings would be considered gangbusters years later.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
