Thread to discuss YTA "Nostalgia-Nimation" cartoon block and cartoons on YTA in general.

YTA has been running cartoons from the Bohbot library for awhile now as has been discussed in the Cartoons on OTA TV thread. Now that YTA is more widely available via Bridge News TV Stations, figure it would be a good idea to start it's own thread. Plus the Weekend Morning Cartoon block now has a name per this image added to the YTA Website: "YTA Nostalgia-Nimation".

Note: Most cartoons on the block air with TV-G rating making them except from FCC Commercial Limits. Only one I seen so far in this past month that I recorded with a TV-Y rating is Stone Age.

And keeping cartoons for free on TV is a great thing. Especially after PBS Kids was defunded.

That show reminds me of a bunch of broadcasters in Africa that are strapped for cash and comes out as one of the cheaper options.

Case in point, channels such as Swazi TV (Eswatini TV) and, in the past, Tshwane TV, a local channel in South Africa.

I realized this block not only competes with MeTV's Toon In With Me but also MeTV Toons. I hope this is a successful experiment but I doubt they wont get creamed by those two...

Looks like YTA will have a small schedule change for July. Multiple TV listing websites are showing that Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog and the E/I block are going to be swapping times and the Sonic block will expand to 2.5 hour. Waiting for updated schedule for July to posted on YTA website to confirm.

Starting Saturday July 4:

5 AM - 6 AM ET = Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths and Legends

6 AM - 9:30 AM ET = E/I Block

9:30 AM - 12 PM ET = Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog
