So it looks like it will be based on Shinkengers "for starters". However, we still don't know if it will be a "full adaptation", or if they'll incorporate elements from Goseigers. Indeed, they could do a "story arc" based on Shinkengers, and then do another one based on Goseigers.

With this in mind, is there any confirmation that this new season will be based entirely on Shinkengers?
What?

Mandouga, what the heck are you talking about? Nothing at all has indicated Goseiger would play a role in this all. Why would you even speculate about that? Also, when has Saban (or Disney) post MMPR even used footage from another season in the season he's adapting? That takes too much effort. Seriously, stop thinking Goseiger will be involved in this especially while it's still airing in Japan. It's not going to happen.

More importantly, have you actually seen Shinkenger or Goseiger?

^And even then, all of the seasons occupy a full year before they change. So far they found the "changing of suits and zords" more comfortable than sticking to one, as well as the cast. I seriously wonder how he got that "Goseiger halfway" idea.

The point is, all we know about this new season is based on secondhand information from non-primary sources, plus there was no Power Rangers season this year, just a rebroadcast of the first season with "new surprises". Yes Goseigers is still airing over there, but every new PR season has always followed the completion of the most recent Super Sentai series: always (Indeed, the first season premiered in 1993 after Zyurangers completed it's run from 1992 to 1993). A strictly Shinkengers based season would put us one (two?) season(s?) behind Super Sentai, and surely Haim Saban would want to "catch up"...wouldn't he?

In any case, we don't really know what they're going to do in the end. I will give you that they usually don't use footage from season other than the ones they are adapting, but again, they might want to "catch up" for all we know.

For now though, I'll assume that the new season will be based on Shinkengers from start to finish. However, I just don't see why they wouldn't want to "catch up" somehow.

No because outside of the footage and business dealings, Sentai and PR have nothing to do with each other. Even if Sentai was ahead by 5 years, Saban would just keep going in order. There's no need to "catch up" to something that you just use the footage for.

Apparently, Iris Hampton and the crew have made their decisions...casting is complete. From TheSentry, a member on RangerBoard who had an audition as Red:

TheSentry said:
Well here is the news after I got called in for tomorrow, I got called back and instructed to come in at 6pm. After which I was told All casting is closed for all parts! All callbacks have been decided! So keep your phones on iris stressed to me that these will be quick because they have a specific look in mind. So ya good luck to all of us!

I was just about to post that info, Darkblaze. :D Anyway, here is the link to the specific thread at Rangerboard. If a Rangerboard member became a cast member, I think we'll hear about it rather quickly, unless there is some sort of non-disclosure agreement (NDA) made by Saban as mentioned in the Rangerboard thread.

Some callbacks (1 yellow, 2 pinks, and gold). Keep in mind, all auditions are closes, so these people (and more) are the runner-ups for the series:

And now a callback for red...from a Kamen Rider fan! :D

(If, y'know, that callback is real...)

Here is some informaton originally found by Mr. Yellow at Henshin Justice:

Overall, my audition went very well. But one guy who I know for a fact that is going to get far in these auditions is a friend of mine named Craig Hennigsen. It kind of sucks for a bunch of us having to go in after him, but if you want to know what he's capable of, just youtube him.

Oh yeah, and random note: Byron Scott's daughter auditioned as well.

Thanks for posting all of that DarkBlaze. :)

Man am I glad to see you here. There's so much information to post, it's hard for me to keep up with every forum (RB, HJU, RC, etc etc). I keep forgetting about PRE as well. Haha.

It's a shame that with all the old talent coming back, Wasserman won't be one of them. He was instrumental in part of Mighty Morphin's appeal with his awesome music, and I was expecting him back at least one more time.

maybe next year if they decide to run with it as PR's 20th anniversary.

Heard a lot of the actors at that used to work for Saban. Payed them very little and that they treated them with no respect or regard. So that is why a lot of them left PR over the treatment of Saban.

This was just posted by Ron Wasserman on Rangerboard. He will not be doing the main theme for the 2011 PR season and will not be involved in the music for the new season in any way. According to his message, Jonathan Tzachor told him someone else will do the music for PR 2011.

It would've been nice if such a big figure in PR music returned for the first season of the Saban revival, but alas such was not meant to be...

Also, sweet Lord Almighty, where can I get clean versions of those paintings of the Rangers? O.o
