One Piece: "The Rainbow Mist" Talkback (Spoilers)

tonight's edit list (with pictures)

1) The episode title is moved to the beginning of the episode.

2) The entire introduction is cut. Basically, it shows the Marines in pursuit of the Going Merry (46 seconds).

3) After Pasqua flicks the random Marine underling, the mark on his forehead is painted off.

4) Since the episode title was moved up earlier, it's cut when it actually appears (11 seconds). Also, 4Kids didn't use the same shot (which was a back view of Going Merry), but a different shot of Pasqua looking at the Going Merry through his binoculars.

5) After Zoro comments that it's a waste of time to pursue the Straw Hats anymore, the camera shows Robin, Luffy, and Zoro with their bounties displayed and a cash register sound effect (8 seconds).

6) Robin has her cleavage erased.

7) The tax collector has his gun erased and arm lowered.

8) His gun returns... Except it's painted blue (well, it's better than neon green).

9) A liquor bottle in the background of the restaurant is painted away.

10) Like in the last episode, Robin's book, "The Rainbow Mist VIII" (she read through 3 volumes in one episode? The straw hats must lead a boring life) has the roman numeral (in this case VIII) erased away.

11) The man who Flip busts for drinking root beer was originally drinking beer.

12) Yellow "!!!" mark is erased off of Usopp after Luffy tells Flip that he'll pay for his pasta.

13) "Fuwa" is erased off of a store sign.

14) The whole "Leik talks in third person" is 4Kids added.

15) Another liquor bottle is painted away on the ship.

16) Nami, Sanji, and Chopper arriving at the docks and discovering that the Going Merry is missing, and a quick shot of Zoro sleeping is cut (11 seconds).

17) "Ape's Concert" is now "Wrecker's Reef."

And it's odd that they actually added a character speaking in third person when they removed that characteristic from Hina.

For God's sake, what is 4K!ds problem with cleavage? It's not like her boobs are hanging out or anything, it's just the top of her chest. I mean, kids probably see more cleavage on their teachers.

Not really. 4Kids was pretty lenient when they first started dubbing Pokemon.

As for the episode, it wasn't too bad.... it was kind of boring though. I'd give it an 8/10

Funny, but for some reason I liked this filler arc, and thought it was kind of funny to see it on tv last night, even though I did fall asleep during it. -_-'

Y'know, I'm beginning to wonder if those paint edits occurred because the paint staff just got bored or something and decided to do it for giggles?

Nami was so OOC at that scene.

Even if it was OOC, for Nami to care about her shopping goods instead of Sanji's well being was pretty damn low, even for her.

And if you want to talk about OOC, pay attention in a couple of episodes to see one of the biggest, fattest OOC scene ever devised (provided that 4Kids doesn't cut it out first).
