I don't follow One Piece but just from seeing the teasers and trailers, knew it was something special. Luckily, it is a stand alone story set between arcs so I wasn't lost. The different art style was amazing and the animation was flawless. Just felt heartwarming to watch Miucha's story from start to end. I hope they adapt the rest of Heroines.

Nami and Robin teaming up was worth the price of admission alone. Nice hook that while it was a heist story, it was a heist to recover what was stolen from them, and within it the DNA of One Piece with them helping a minor character over that hurdle in their life and meeting their life goal and what they always wanted, usually by getting rid of a total jerk that's had a hold of them. The recurring theme of standing up against adversity. in this case, the assistant being the real talent and the famous fashion designer seemed to have lost their way, obsessed with the glamour of the fashion world and only cares about the looks of his brand.

It was amusing it was a pair of heels that was all flash and no substance for fighting - uh, fighting in heels? - but still a logical way to tie in Nami's love of fashion and money.

The only thing I found curious and maybe it's because I don't keep up is how nobody in that town seemed to recognize Nami and Robin were infamous pirates. And you have to suspend disbelief the Straw Hats got so easily robbed in the first place.

Neat to learn they changed things up this adaptation like the stolen jewels added to a chandelier. Makes sense to have a visual set piece for the anime version. Or added to Robin's part with her infiltrating the runway show as a guard.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
