Microsoft pulls the plug on Internet Explorer.

No tears shed for Internet Explorer's passing. I was more of a Firefox person anyway.

Maybe this Project Spartan thing will actually be better. I can't help but think of Halo when I read its name.

I use Google Chrome a lot now, Internet Explorer only at school.
I used a lot of IE in the past, until a few years ago (2012, to say the least).

I dropped Internet Explorer back the late 1990s and never looked back. In addition to being slow, IE was a virus magnet. The one time I tried to use IE recently, it was really slow (mind you, it could've been my laptop acting up, as I recently added an additional 4GB to my laptop's memory).

These days I use Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox almost exclusively. However, I'd be willing to give "Project Spartan" a chance if it's any good.

I too would be willing to give "Project Spartan" a go, but it has to prove itself first. Microsoft has to show me that this new browser is truly better than Internet Explorer was. I've been burned by IE and Microsoft too many times before; they have to earn my trust again.

I prefer Chrome over IE even though I use the latter on my tablet laptop. (That's probably the only time I use Explorer--that and maybe when a computer somewhere doesn't have Chrome.)

Also, I have one question: Where's Windows 9?

Windows 10 is Windows 9. For some reason, Microsoft isn't calling it's next OS 9 and is naming the OS after Windows 8 as Windows 10. Calling the next one Windows 9 would make more sense, but Microsoft isn't doing that.

From what I know, this issue is related to Windows 95 and 98.

I occasionally use IE, mainly to watch videos. Otherwise, Chrome has been my mainstay.

Our library's computers have used IE for some time, but lately I've been having a number of issues with screens saying that IE cannot display some sites.

Most websites are currently dealing more with Chrome than with IE.

I've stuck with Chrome for a long time now (I remember being really stubborn when it came to giving up IE...heaven knows why)

For me it was because of preference, I started to like Chrome more and more than IE.

Unfortunately, at my job, I still have to use IE for various things. In fact, I have to use IE 9, because 10 and 11 don't work. Why? One software database program we use requires a web browser, and it's optimized for IE 9, and the company, Leica/Aperio, hasn't gotten on the ball about updating their database software.

Because of this issue, I make sure to get in the habit of having multiple browsers available for me. For the longest time, I couldn't access an account I had with a local bank, and it turned out that bank optimized their site for Firefox and IE, but not Chrome. Incidentally, I have a strange Chrome issue that keeps making it crash, so I'm a Firefox user at home, Chrome/IE at work. As such, I want this Project Spartan to be good, not because I want to see Microsoft do well, but because I want all browser companies to be pushing one another to make the best browser possible. Additionally, for the occasional site that works for one browser but not another, I want to make sure that the browser I use to access that site is actually decent.

Just seen the video and it looks OK to me. It has features that IE never had and that other browsers had as well as that "drawing" feature.

Do not let Microsoft Hire Weird Al for advertising their products! (A foreboding warning..)

Wel if you want my personal opinion on this.. Microsoft should have kiled IE way back when they were killing IE 6 off.. yet I feel taht now this is one of the better ddecision that Microsoft made.. Now as for the bad decisions.. I got a few pete peeves with Miicrosoft and here they are..
and this is my "Bad Decision " List..

Killing Train simulator 2? Bad idea..
Killing Microfot Flihght simulator afte rthe 10th release was out? Bad idea..
Buying Skype? Bad idea..
Buying Mojang for 2.5 Million to make their own version of Minecraft.. Bad idea..
Having an anime girl be the spokes person of their lates and lousiest IE Borwser? Bat idea..
creating an XBox 360 that gives yo the red ring of death? Bad idea..

Heck if this keeps up they'll hire Weird Al Yankovic to do some advertising for their products. and we all now where Al was this last christmas and who her was adveritising for.. 2 months later? Badd bing badda boom, Hamburger time..

Yep never ever let weird al advertise for your product.. cause you're doomed..

Tucsoncoyote:coyote:

I mean let's face it when They hire weird al to do the adverising of any product.. it's bound to be bankrupt soon ever..

Oh wait, that's right I forgot.. they brough t him in as Cheese Sandwich.. and wher eis the Hub Now? Merged.. badda boom badda bing.. Hamburger time..

Those doing the pyramid burger on YouTube are doing it wrong. Let it cook until it's well done because I've seen people doing it and trying it before spitting it after realising that it's raw.
I have another theory as for why Johnny Bravo is neglected by CN nowadays. Putting aside the basic concept, it's the retools that made the show chaotic.
