Invader ZIM is back! Use this thread to discuss all the episodes of the series which begin to re-air on Nicktoons, Monday, March 1st!

Nicktoons Description: A while back, our favorite Irken, Invader Zim, made countless attempts to take over the world. Thanks to his incompetence, he only ever met with failure. Now Invader Zim AND GIR are back! It’s time to show some love to the ultimate space-comedy duo – Zim, the poster boy of colossal let-downs and his hyper, taco-loving weirdo sidekick, Gir – a match made in outer space. And this may be your only chance to catch these guys because after March, Zim and Gir will head back into outer space – so don’t miss a single episode!

It's not airing at midnight. Only the 9pm hour Mon-Thu and 11am-12:30pm on Sat-Sun. Check the schedule in the first post.

I've been catching an episode here and there but the DVDs have spoiled me. I'll still be supporting it though, hoping that they will continue airing it sometime in the future.

Just saw a commercial with fans at a football stadium chanting "ZIM!ZIM!ZIM!". I think it's suppose to mock that IZ got a cult following

perhaps they should give ZIm a dead slot on late night weekends & have it pare up with Rocko or Super Duper Sumos & have Nicktoon move Chalkzone & Tak to Cookie Jar TV on CBS instead.

Great to know it's on the air again. YTV was playing it for a while not too long ago as well. Always good to hear, as it'll create more fans.

Well the story got ridiculous once the dead body came up, but it's safe to assume that the show got canceled because it didn't live up to Nick's expectations in terms of ratings, it was too expensive, and (possibly) kids thought it was scary.

That's about the size of it.

And I'm sure there is no dead body! It's Jhonen's trademark weird goth humor, mixing that and all sorts of over-the-top stuff into his real-life experiences. And he does this in interviews, too. He's just awesome at that.

If you've ever read his comic-book work, you'll know what I mean. His stuff, be it Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Bad Art Collection, or Fillerbunny, made me laugh out loud! It's all like the kind of humor ZIM would have, if not for Nickelodeon's limitations.

It's on the air here on Nickelodeon Australia-on weekends at 10:30PM (9:30PM AEDST).

Although unlike the US, I'm pretty sure our Nick will show episodes throughout the year.

It'd be even cooler if it got a permanent slot on Nick proper, but I know that's not likely to happen.

I seriously think it IZ should be put on Sci-Fi or Adult Swim, they could make a fortune off of new episodes and merchandise, Hot Topic still sells PLENTY of IZ stuff. If the series were to make a new movie or episode, or even if Vazquez did a spin off series it would be a (money making) hit!

IZ seems to have that kind of cult following where all that matters is that the merchandise sells well. Heck, all they have to do is recycle artwork from the show and put it on a t-shirt and it will sell well.

Why can't this show get a proper ending? Anyways, only 3 unseen episodes left (X-mas, Halloween, and Foodcourtia) until I've seen everything and can be done with the show. The only good part was GIR anyways I guess.

I, too, would love to see ZIM on Adult Swim (it would be perfectly at home there), but that'll never happen. Nick will never give up the show, seeing too late as how it has a huge following. (Viacom and Time-Warner are apparently bitter rivals.)

This weekend will be the last time to see ZIM on TV. Starting next week, the normal schedule (without ZIM) is back in place.
