Imageshack's new policy about pictures

I spotted this info via the Internet movie cars database forum http://forum.imcdb.org/index.ks?page=forum_topic&id=6779&index=0

On March 1, Imageshack will put a limit of 500 pictures in our accounts, and if we had to post more pictures, we have to be a premium member.

Looks like we got to check on Photobucket, Flickr for alternatives.

I've been a member there since before they had a proper login system, and I got the same message. So I had to delete about 100 pictures to keep them from doing it themselves. You'd think they'd grandfather in some of the older users, but no...

I noticed something was up when they began disallowing access to a Direct Image link if you uploaded a picture while not signed in. (Although it was easy to get around if you had a fast mouse-clicking finger.) But I don't think I've ever had more than 50 pictures in my account at one time, and I delete things regularly, so it shouldn't be a problem for me.

My main image host is Photobucket, though. I've been using them since about 2006 or so, and other than a couple revamps that irked me (I miss having the option to View All by default), have always been happy with its service.

This got me so worried about 3 weeks back that I deleted like 400 pictures. I never use Imageshack he said Photobucket was the Image place doing this. And now that I know it's Imageshack instead of Photobucket I feel a little worried panicking and doing that.
