I feel like Disney should buy SEGA from Sammy Holdings...

Sonic Forces has gotten a Metacritic score of 58%, and a lot of people aren't buying the game compared to Super Mario Oddysey and A Hat in Time. I even saw a video which said that most of the coding in Forces was lifted directly out of Lost World...

At this point, I feel like Disney would be a better home for SEGA than SEGA Sammy Holdings, which only produces pachinko machines, I'm told. It's only logical that they do that, since they just bought 85% of FOX. Maybe with the added resources from Disney, SEGA would have access to more resources, and actually listen to their audience when making Sonic games. Maybe they could even get back into the console business again I don't know, it's just a thought. From where I stand, SEGA would stand a better financial chance being run by Disney than being owned by a company making pachinkos. What are your thoughts?

I didn't know that Disney owns video games, so I'm not sure how they would treat their video game properties. I do think that Sega just needs to have a new CEO or a new platform for their Sonic the Hedgehog games to help them sell better.

Better idea: Nintendo should buy Sega. We can have more Mario/Sonic crossovers (besides just Olympic games and Smash) and they have better quality control with their games. I think Sonic can be better handled under Nintendo's direction.

I do think that from the times that Nintendo has handled Sonic (The Sonic Advance series and Sonic Lost World) has been handled better than Sega ever did with the franchise. Although, I do wonder what will happen with the Sonic/Mario rivalry if Nintendo does get Sonic. Will it still happen or will the rivalry be over and done with?

I don't really think that Disney is a good connection to a video game company, It feels out of place to see them acquire Sega.

I just think that Disney could provide more financial resources and quality control to SEGA, so their games won't be as cheaply made...plus, SEGA was always meant as a rival to Nintendo, and with SEGA under its belt, Disney could have a stake in the gaming market. Maybe Disney could give them financial leeway to get SEGA back into making consoles again...

Disney did kind of make games though their Disney Interactive division, they pretty much left the gaming market and I can't see them reentering it, they just licence their properties out to other game companies.

SEGA is no longer a rival to Nintendo though and left the console hardware market sixteen years ago. SEGA and Nintendo would be a good fit, SEGA were also very innovative but their ideas weren't always practical (for example 32X or the Game Gear which was a brilliant handheld but required loads of batteries) and I've always liked their arcade style of gameplay, Nintendo would be a counterbalance for not making outlandish decisions and would help with creativity and refined gameplay aspects. SEGA can help Nintendo by getting into the "adult" gaming market, they can use the SEGA brand for more edgier content without tainting the Nintendo name, kind of like Disney's strategy with 20th Century Fox. Whether these SEGA games should be Nintendo exclusives, I don't really know.
