General International TV Channels Thread

As 2026 starts worldwide, we have our first [or perhaps one of the first] rebrands of the year! NOVA in Bulgaria has a new logo, as well as sister channels Kino NOVA and NOVA News.

This will be the last post I make in 2025, with 2026 being less than 5 minutes away as of writing this. I wish a Happy New Year to everyone here on Toonzone/AnimeSuperhero!

Nova Sport (BG) still not rebranded since the channel's launch as they're still using old 2008 Viasat Sport logo.

In Hungary, Sláger TV rebranded as well as the national anthem ended.

Several outlets forecast that Comcast will spinoff/sale NBCUniversal and honestly if Paramount were to buy it they wouldn't be much of an overlap on the linear side.

The Bravo closedown is not actual closure video but it's an advert mix from the channel's last day, here's a recording of the channel's final continuity:

I assume its closure (since Sky1's demographic made it difficult for Bravo to survive after Sky acquired it) differ from providers (like Sky and Virgin Media) as the only copy of the actual shutdown is in bad quality. And the closedown I've seen before must've been from either Sky or Virgin Media.

This means MTV Germany will shut down for keeps.

It's times like these where I miss the Redstones (granted, even under their control they reduced the amount of music videos and worse even, began to reduce the creative freedom of some teams)
The channel won't last much anyway

I Forgot, MTV Germany Switched To Pay TV & MTV Entertainment Closed 15 Years Ago. (Now FTA).
Here It's FTA Version Of MTV Germany's Last Minutes:

And MTV Entertainment:

The Austrian Version Of MTV AT Switched To Now-Defunct VIVA AT In FTA 15 Years Ago, Here It's The Video:

And Now Defunct Music Channel VIVA In DE, AT & CH Rebranded 15 Years Ago, Here It's The Rebrand Videos In German & English:

MTV Germany will FULLY merge with MTV Scandinavia on January 5th, launching a new feed, MTV Global.
It will use the same schedule as MTV Euro, which is also used by MTV Portugal and MTV Wallonia.

No idea how they're going to pull this off though, considering a lot of content in this schedule violates the FSF rules, which, for example, prevent anything rated 16+ airing before 22:00 in Germany.
Before using this "Global" schedule they already had to (re)move a lot of airings (of e.g. Ridiculousness) due to being rated 16+.
The second major instance of a FTA version of a US-originating channel merging with a foreign feed. The other one was Nick NL in 2022?
EDIT: So Nick NL isn't FTA. My bad. Thanks @Francisque!

Nick Nl Is not FTA.

Anyway, schedules continue to show some differences outside of the internal schedules, so I don't know

FTA only if:
-you watch NPO 1/2/3 without a Digitenne subscription
-the same but for the local channels
-BVN on satellite but it's closing down later this year

Today at 06:00 CET, Comedy Central Austria suddenly shut down and got replaced by Comedy Central Germany.

This comes in kind of surprising as the channel did still have its own schedules for the month of January, at least

Presumably one of these two: the Americas feed of RTP Internacional or the international feed of RTP Notícias, the former RTP 3

RTP 3 started an international feed around 2016 IIRC, which mirrors the commercial-free terrestrial feed and replaces foreign output with repeats of national material
