Re: Samurai Champloo: Like Ikki Tousen, not a huge surprise. From what I remember, it did pretty well in DVD sales and aired on Adult Swim. While I'm sure this will make latecomers happy, it's another wasted license for me since I already own it.

Re: Soul Eater: Was anyone really surprised by this one? That clue wasn't exactly subtle. Anyway, those character designs look sort of FLCL-ish to me. And if the show satirizes shonen cliches, it could be good.

I wouldn't really call Soul Eater a parody of shonen series like many of you are implying. Though it certainly makes some jokes about the cliches every once in a while, it's not a joke series. The main villains are serious threats, and the stories are taken seriously for the most part.

It's still a great series that everyone should check out, though.

Also, for those talking about how the series might continue after the initial 52 episodes, it seems that the series is taking the Fullmetal Alchemist route and creating its own ending, as shown by the events of the latest episode and the preview.

EDIT: Oh, and since so many people are interested in it, maybe they should check out the first opening.

Anyway, I'm curious to see what FUNi does with the license. Soul Eater's BIG, so I am certain they're going to try to get it on TV. I'm interested in the series, but haven't watched an episode yet or read a manga chapter (I suppose I could try to get into the manga thanks to Yen Press).

Well my top guesses for Soul Eater on TV would be Either Funimation Channel or Cartoon Network (or Adult Swim if they want to show it uncut!) But yea Im really hoping theres a suprise or 2 left...I mean I agree about one of the clues being about EVA ...I Guess It would'nt hurt to wait till Midnight & see if any thing happens..or lets see soul eater was on the oppisite side...& the ball was back on top..mabye there gonna do what the big ball on TV does and have it Drop on midnight revealing a whole bunch of suprises on the other side of the pole!

Thank god they saved it though, it will be nice to finally get the series on DVD, since they have Romeo x Juliet especially.
