I meant the one above, which you provided a few days ago... But thanks for the others, anyway; I'll be sure to try and e-mail Kris later today with my demands.

You should check out Justice League Unlimited #37 before it sells out, guys. It's got the Spectre, Batman, Deadman and a few others... It just struck me as something you would enjoy. It's written by Matt Wayne, who wrote some JLU episodes, and it's well worth a read.
Last I heard from Kris, is he is working on batch; he's colouring a set at once with the intent to run straight from here to the end. So he's still working, but I think he wants to have a straight finish rather than anymore stops.
This last chapter was a fairly good cliffhanger. With any luck, the final chapter will be 10 odd strips without delays.
I was just wondering if you could give us an update, James. I know genius takes time and shouldn't be rushed, but it's been almost a month without a new post from you concering the strip. Take your time in responding.
"Just wonderin' where the newspaper boy is. Wonderin' when he's gonna bring me some good news." Herbert, when used properly, can be a very good comedic tool.
No, no, take your time, we appreciate the work you put in a lot! That said, today is a year on from when I first started reading the strips, and it would've been cool to have a new one today. Last year, #49 came out today and I was hooked from then on. I was thinking of posting this a few days ago to spur you into action again
but I forgot, so I say it today, the day it's most appropriate. Pat yourselves on the back, anyway, because the panels have only got better since then!
Brace yourselves.
*DRUM ROLL*
And....KAPOW!!!!! DKA is back
Why do I get the impression that the first panel is the creators' warning about the consequences of all our pestering for new strips?![]()
Seriously though, great strip. Its nice to see that amidst the story progression, you took the time to tie up the Kara/Tea thread with a moment that's actually kind of moving. Is is wrong that I kind of like Tea more than I like Kara?![]()
I've been meaning to write a post for a while now about how impressed I've been that, looking back, DKA has been able to build such an exciting and action packed story with only a few fight scenes. Up till now (Nightwing vs Scarecrow aside) the only one "Batman" has punched has been Dick Grayson! Most of the real "action" sequences have revolved around dialogue exchanges and character interaction, but the narrative still moves like a roller coaster.
Artistically, its an interesting way of presenting the Superhero medium and really gives moments like this strip's first panel, (or the scene where Kar- er, I mean Tea, is shot) so much more "punch" (bad pun somewhat intended).
Much credit for this has to go to the writer of course, but I think sometimes we forget how important the artist is in making a static scene exciting and involving. Thanks to you both very much.
Great work as always and can't wait to see where the next twist takes the story.
Also, did they leave Tea or take her with them?
With 7 strips left, I hope we see more twists and action. I'm aware that around 5 of them may be the epilogue, but I hope you guys don't rush the final product. That said: this is great; please keep it up!![]()
