Eh, I still prefer CN. At least the TTG spamming never seems to actively interfere with the success of their originals, especially given this marathon is during a lull period. Not even Nickelodeon has gotten this bad with SBSP.
Considering they're very clearly setting up Unikitty to be the next show to spam, it probably will be in a sense.Hopefully, 2018 will be a breath of fresh air along with Adult Swim Jr.
Like I said in the Boomerang News and Discussion thread, Adult Swim Jr. is just going to be their April Fools' Prank this year and nothing more. And I highly doubt that 2018 will be any better as 2015, 2016 and 2017 combined.Hopefully, 2018 will be a breath of fresh air along with Adult Swim Jr.
I honestly think it will be better. They have a lot more new shows coming out in 2018, and I get the feeling this will be the marathon that will open up CN's eyes. Sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom before you can realize you need to improve yourself.Like I said in the Boomerang News and Discussion thread, Adult Swim Jr. is just going to be their April Fools' Prank this year and nothing more. 2018 will be a year of new beginnings for the network and a large step up from the TTG rut. I just know it.Yeah, we can all agree that December 25-31 schedule just gave the August 1-7 schedule a run for it's money. 2018 for the network can't come any sooner.
Would we even see the numbers? Because we usually don't for non-premieres.Can't wait to see the numbers for this. For the sake of the network's future I hope they suck to make them realized they have crossed the line.
I mean, I legit don't see why they would cave in and give us the numbers, since they are under no obligation whatsoever to do so, but at least getting to see them would be good in breaking the ambiguity that seems to take up the bulk of these arguments.Hm. I thought numbers for everything get disclosed eventually? I mean, all broadcast is these days constantly monitored with on demand, dvr and catch up tv playing a role too - not just for premieres. Surely the numbers for premieres are more important, but I doubt they are the only ones available. Maybe not always publicly or for free, but they definitely exist. In this case I think it would be really useful if people came together for once and literally demanded CN to show how well the show is actually performing, because I think it would end arguments one way or another. If the numbers will be excellent then we can pretty much quit ranting, because we will be proven wrong and it will have zero effect. But if the numbers are terrible then there's chance for real change and pressuring CN into re-thinking their priorities.
Funnily enough, I've literally made a thread devoted to theorizing what their business logic could be. A couple people have come up with some genuinely believable ones (I'm not saying we agree with them, of course, but seeing where they're coming from at least somewhat helps IMO).I don't want to assume the worst, but I honestly can't think of reason they would do this beyond spite for us, literally every person who called out their lazy scheduling.
I'm sorry but you are the reason why they will not learn that this is ruining their business. I'm not saying that you can't support CN but please do learn how to stop accepting everything they do or try to see the reasoning behind it. I know you want to be positive but there has to be a time where you have call them out.To be clear, I still stand by that - despite this schedule being absolute rock bottom - it shouldn't be used to give up on the entire company. Because there is much more to CN than just the live feed, and no matter how much the live feed may suck, CN also has digital services to fall back on.
And don't get me wrong, the schedule is awful on all sides. However, that just means PART of the company has gone down the toilet, and not quite all of it.
I straight-up stated in that very post that the schedule was "absolute rock bottom" and "awful on all sides". That doesn't sound like accepting everything they do to me.I'm sorry but you are the reason why they will not learn that this is ruining their business. I understood when you said that it was rock bottom but then you said you still stand by them. Sometimes you have to stop supporting someone for them to see what they're doing wrong. No offense but it's starting to sound like you are on their payroll and must defend them every chance you get.I straight-up stated in that very post that the schedule was "absolute rock bottom" and "awful on all sides". The point I was making is, the schedule isn't everything in terms of the company. Yes, maybe I have been underestimating its importance, but my feelings that people shouldn't give up on the entire company for failings of one particular portion still stand.
