CN Schedule Updates

did u not read the post right above mine that said they are airing the mega evo special on sunday the 8th?

My source for all this? I sort of vaguely mentioned it. I should have been a little more clear, sorry. I was just a little excited about the special and disappointed about Steven Universe and Tenkai Knights.

I got all this info from Turner's press site.

You can view most of CN's schedule up to June 16 as of this writing, but there are a few glitches.

- Some parts make it look like Mixels is getting a half-hour show. I highly doubt that's the case, especially due to its inconsistent timeslot. I think it's just airing during those shows.
- At one point, it looks like there's a two-hour Regular Show episode. I think it's just airing before a movie.
- Some parts of the schedule are completely blank. I went out on a limb and guessed that classic Looney Tunes would air there, from the look of it.
- The adult swim schedule vanishes completely after awhile.

But on Sunday, June 8, the Pokémon Mega Evolution Special OVA airs at 8am!

Pokémon: Mega Evolution Special I will air Saturday, May 31 at 8:00 AM. As a result, Pokémon: XY eps. 20+ will be pushed back a week.

Hmmm, must be an encore on Sunday then. Regardless, that's nice to see it there.

The Mega Special is being dubbed? That's awesome, and even faster than Pokémon Origins! I'll check it out for sure!

its only a 30 min special.. its a normal episode.. part 2 hasnt even aired in japan yet

...I know?

Its just that, for some reason, many of the TV specials haven't been dubbed, so I was worried this one wouldn't be.

That's too bad that new episodes of the series are pushed back a week, but it's nice that we'll see the Mega Evolution special.

I think that the main reason those other specials weren't dubbed was because they didn't promote anything for the new games. Dawn, Brock and Cilan's specials didn't feature new Pokemon or aspects tying them into the new games, while the Mewtwo Prologue did showcase Mega Mewtwo, even though it wasn't by name and the entire Prologue was pretty unnecessary anyway. Considering that this special is all about Mega Pokemon battling against each other, I thought that there was a good chance that it would be dubbed. Plus, it might tie in more with the current series, at least more so than specials featuring some of Ash's friends, which would be another reason for them to dub it. There will be at least two Mega Evolution specials, if not more depending on how many parts they'll make in Japan.

my tv guide just updated to show the mega evo airing next saturday as well.. looks like its official now...

That's too bad about T&JS, it was screwed from the start, why that show and not Johnny Test, T&JS were doing much better than JT. I guess it's gonna be one season like T&JT.

Weekends at 6AM will have a full hour of Johnny Test now. Ben 10 and Ben 10 Omniverse will also be gone from Boomerang in June too.

That is a bit troubling. Teen Titans and Captain Planet are gone too. It looks like Pokémon is the only action show on Boomerang (though not the only one with a continuing story - Mystery Inc. joins Boom as well).

It also looks like the only pre-CN "classics" on are Tom & Jerry, Scooby-Doo (Where Are You? only), Looney Tunes, Flintstones, and Smurfs. The rebrand is nearly upon us, I guess. And it looks like BoomerAction may just be no more.

Wait... really? That is truly bizarre if that's what the new heads are going with... Makes sense as to why Adult Swim's Toonami was able to get a hold of Samurai Jack so easily, though. Especially after CN's rule "one show can't be on AS/CN at the same time".

And that includes Sym-Bionic Titan as well.

I don't think CN ever wanted to air Titan again. They had trouble with Jack because it was already on Boom, but I guess when they banished it to the graveyard slot that was its chance.

Yeah, just like Beware the Batman, the-new-CN was done with Sym-Bionic Titan. That show's finale makes me sad it never got a continuation... And that any potential continuation has many many problems before it.

At least Genndy Tartakovski is successful though. Here's hoping his Popeye as well as his "original" projects go well at Sony Animation!

I wonder if that episode will ever be available on DVD or Pokemon.com ...

It would have to be dubbed first, but I think it's possible that it will be eventually released. It could go the way of that Wishcash filler episode from AG that never aired, but it could also be dubbed like that fishing contest episode in BW that was delayed, which was also a filler episode. It's hard to say for sure either way, but a dub and an eventual release is possible. I think that the only banned episode that was dubbed and never got a release was the Beauty and the Beach episode.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.
