Ask A FUNimation Rep!

I asked this question at Otakon. For now, Funi only has the TV series (bummer, because the Summer OAV is a must watch for anyone who likes the Negi/Nodoka pairing).
ah darn.
since it seems the OVA's actually have everyone acting like they should. while the TV completely messes with their personalities.

i know bringing over OVAs is a money risk. but i hope they consider looking into it. since the licensing of the Negima?! series was a bit of a surprise.

EDIT: Are you guys planning to dub the One Piece character singles? Hearing Usopp's in english would be so cool yet funny too.
Which brings these questions:

1. Are you guys gonna do the full versions of the One Piece openings?
2. Are you guys gonna have the One Piece regulars (Straw Hat crew) sing "We Are?" I remember a version where the show regulars in the Japanese version sung it. o.o

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Nheb5Ulsmg here it is.

If we're still getting answers, I have a question.

Recently I found out you guys are putting out a new Kirby DVD:

1. Is this a new sub or the 4kids version? If 4kids, is there any possibility of their ever being a redub?
2. Are you guys planning to release the entire series on DVD eventually?

And also,

3. Are you guys considering doing redubs of any other 4kids properties besides one piece?

I'm wondering why there hasn't been more questions being asked in this thread. I guess people are getting tired of talking to Lance?

Well I think Lance has been busy, plus no one has had a good question for him. However, hopefully if something comes up the thread will get busy again (and I saw Lance post over at AoD the other day so he is still alive, thank goodness! ).

Hello, Mr. FUNimation Rep.

I've just started getting the FUNimation Channel through WRNN Channel 48.3. I like some of the programs that are on right now (Case Closed is my favorite!)

I know this question has been asked quite a few times on this web, but how often do you change your program schedule, and when will you be making any changes for the current schedule? I keep hearing a "Coming Up Next...Lupin the 3rd!" every now and then, but I never see it. Will it be on the schedule soon, and which version will it be?

The schedule has remained pretty much the same since February of last year (that is when I got it). The Lupin movies have been off for over six months due to Funi Channel acquired movies from CPM.

A couple of questions for Lance, if he gets a chance to answer them:

1. When do you plan to change the schedule on your syndicated Funimation TV block? I can access it through ColoursTV on satellite, and it was great while the shows were new. But after the "umpteenth" rerun, I stopped watching it because the shows never change.

2. The change to digital TV broadcasting next year will open up hundreds of new over-the-air digital channels in every TV market, in direct competition against cable. Digital TV next year may well be like a repeat of the early days of cable, when operators were scrambling to find content to fill all those empty timeslots. Broadcasters likely will be open to specialized programming, at least for a while. Is Funimation planning anything to take advantage of this sudden huge expansion of airtime opportunities? (^_*)

Does he still answer these?

[mod edit: threats of violence are against the forum rules - do it again and it's an official warning.]

Hey Lance, what's up with the Canadian listings on this page? Is YTV actually airing Galaxy Railways, or is it something lined up for their upcoming Anime Channel?

Like DBZ, will DragonBall get the remastered treatment?

I would also like to know if Toei will remaster Dragon Ball and if so, please bring it to us as well, please!

Also, does anyone know what the cheapest and longest version of YYHakusho that I can get?

For example, let's say they started with DVDs with 4 eps each, and then moved on to a box set with an art box (30 dollar dvds got condensed into 4 30 dollar dvds for the scant 50 dollar price), and then they move on to 39 or so episodes for 30 dollars, what stage is YYH at?

Sadly, that probably won't happen anytime soon unless FUNi manages to finally get the video distribution rights to the original 13 episodes.

I heard somewhere that FUNimation was remastering DBGT.

I hope this is true, GT REALLY needs the remastered treatment.

What happened to FUNimation's online store?

I tried going to Zstore and got redirected to RightStuf International.

Lance, you ****ard, I love ya!

ONE PIECE SEASON ONE UNCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!!!!

So besides the first 13 episodes on the uncut boxset of One Piece, what other notable features will it have?

Do you have any plans on changing Don Kreig's VA to a more fiting role?
