Very fun this year .

I almost felt like it was going to be the weakest April Fools on Toon Zone, but a lot of people just kept sticking with it and it became really fun in the process.

I felt like I was kinda ignored by the other April Fools days posters this year. I still thought I did pretty good though.

I wanted to partake, but I was working and Wrestlemania took up all my free time.

I wasn't as active this year like in years past mostly because of two things:

1. Toonami taking over Adult Swim for one night
2. WWE WrestleMania XXVIII earlier this evening

One thing I noticed this year was the spontaneous use of "Sent from _____________ using toonzone" at the bottom of each post as a play of "Sent from my iPhone/iPad/Android using toonzone" when someone uses the mobile app. I don't know exactly where it started, but I first saw it in the Bleach thread on the Adult Swim forum.

Sadly, my attempt at establishing an Anime Fight Club was a failed experiment.

Pretty good this year. I think a lot of attention was initially diverted by Toonami, but even if it was a weak year, it was still fun.

And major props to Gene Shalit. Your posts made me very HAPPY GILMORE.

Could've been a lot better, IMO, but I suppose it was a good way for me to burn off an otherwise boring Sunday. Certain folks deserve their props for a nice effort as well, particularly Speedy; his Gene Shalit bit was great.

Admittedly, I wasn't trying very hard. Staying up and watching Toonami for six straight hours last night pretty much burned off all my energy today, so once I found a bit, I just spammed it to no end and called it a day. The timing just didn't work for me this year.

I dunno. These things seem to be getting less and less active every year (felt like a lot of downtime this year especially), so I can't come out and guarantee that next year will be any better or anything. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Other than posting a bunch of artdumps from my deviantart favorites, and yuri pictures, I didn't really do anything this year. Not only because of the Toonami thing, but also because the board feel rather empty nowadays.

That reminds, did anyone get banned yesterday? Because some of the pics in the Anime Forums were borderline porn/hentai.

Even with my general lack of visits nowadays, I still can't ignore the call of the April fool, and I gotta say I had fun.

Their was a definite lack of energy though, especially compared to years past. But overall it didn't hurt it that much for me.

I can't really compare this year to any other seeing as how this is my first TZ April Fools ever but for what it's worth, I had a good time. If at anything it killed an otherwise boring sunday, there was some definite energy in some smaller areas whereas other places was just kind of meh, and I will admit, I too burned myself off on Toonami last night.


Regardless I had a good time, hope it's all uphill from here.

From my through earlier April Fools threads it seems like they get lax on that kind of stuff on April Fools, makes sense though as it's all in good fun.

I was one of the members who posted one of those said images, and I'm still here obviously.

Besides, none of the images this year were anywhere NEAR as bad as the ones in 08 (and no one got banned for the nsfw pics back then).

In all the 8 years I've been involved with these shenanigans, this was without a doubt the worst.

It took forever for the threads to pop up & when they did most either weren't as clever or didn't take off due to lack of interest. Did everyone stay up to watch Toonami too & never got up until late in the day or are there a lot of people here that work on Sundays?

Oh, and on a more sour note, Kiddington spammed his Sun Drop dance GIFs so much that he ran out of bandwidth allotment right in the middle of my trying to archive a topic in which they showed up, making the loading take eternity and the page impossible to save. So Page 1 of the Complaints topic is gone.

Being a very new person here on Toonzone, I credit myself for saving April Fools Day. (I think my favorite part of the day was turning Gene Shalit into a dark wizard)
