I never told you that showers make me sleepy? Something about the loud, constant sound of water beating against my skin or the tub... it's just comforting. I can usually distract myself enough when I'm not that tired, but it was 4am last night, and I dunno about you, but I'm uber unfocused around that late. ><

I remember closing my eyes and thinking I was in my bed, sleeping, but I heard the water, and realized, ohsnap, I fell asleep again.

Heh, doing that opposite thing again. Showers always make me wide awake, which is one of many reasons I can't take them before I go to sleep.

...I think I discovered another pet peeve.

I take showers at night more than in the morning. I detest waking up early with dirty hair, and suddenly having a dire need to take a shower. It makes the day go by faster and at an unsmooth pace. (For...some reason)

Well, it's funny that you brought this topic up, cuz to tell you the truth, I DON'T, and CAN'T shower, bathe, or WASH at all. It'll kill me! I'm composed and made up entirely of flames just like my fave villain, hence the chosen name Hotstreak. hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't do that.

I shower at night, it just irks me to bathe in the morning, it just does for some reason.

When Do you usually take a shower, in the morning as soon as you wake up, or at night before bed?
A friend of mine and I were having a discussion about this. I shower before bed, so I will not go dirty to bed and make the bed dirty. He argues that when he wakes up, he usually goes to take a shower because he feels dirty and sweaty. I tell him that if he would take a shower at night, he would not wake up sweaty and dirty.

So here, now I bring this question to you, the Toon Zone people. When do you usually take showers?
Well you're supposed to shower in the morning when you wake up, and at night before you go to bed, or when you've got home during the evening and you're going to settle down for the night. If you don't have time to take showers in the morning, try to use good body sprays and wash your face before you leave to go places. In the summer when I'm home I normally take 3 showers aday since I hate the sweaty feelings and I like showers. one in the morning, one in the mid-late afternoon and one before I sleep (which is like, past midnight at times)

I always take one at night, but occasionally I take one in the morning too.

As often as possible. I love running water.

If I was excessively rich I would buy a waterpark and put in one of those cool wading pools that span a sizeable portion of the area, complete with mini-waterfalls and swimming creek.

...I mean...yeah I like running water too.

Lemme know when that's all completed, I'm coming over to your place.

If I really need a shower at night, I'll take one then. Regardless, I take them every morning.

I'm completely dumbfounded by how many people on this board admit to not showering in the morning. I mean, yeah, I've known people who go to their first class in the morning without showering and then shower afterwards, but to go the whole day without showering? You know, in Middle School I used to only shower at night, but after several people pointed out how disgusting it was, I stopped. I mean, when you go through your whole day without showering there's so much stuff that you're dragging around with you. There's sweat, drool, and other undeterminable subtances. And if you put on clean clothes when you're dirty, well, now your clothes are dirty too.

And what on earth is this stuff about wanting to go to bed when you're clean? Are you people rolling around in the mud or something? I mean, yeah, I shower again after I go to the gym, but other than that I don't sweat that much throughout the day and I try to avoid dirty things.

You had me until the last paragraph. You pick up just as much 'dirt' throughout the day as you do when you sleep. It's not about avoiding dirty things--the bottom line is you pick up a lot of germs simply by going out and interacting with people. Do you know there are more germs on a public chair, computer or desk than even a public toilet or garbage can? You want to get them germs off before you go to bed, believe me. And simply washing your hands frequently is only the first step.

In truth, you should shower once in the morning and once in the night for a total of two times a day, but most people don't do that and opt for one or the other. But those from either side casting stones at the other shouldn't really, because that's a glass house you're standing inside.

I voted Both whenever possible. I usually shower before bed, I always shower before I leave the house. Whether if it's for work, or just driving out to buy a lottery ticket. Yeah, yeah, vanity, I know.

But what gets me is the people who don't shower, and are fine with it. I'm still friends with my boss at a retail store I used to work at. Recently, she had to let someone go, because after months of complaints and pleading, this one person just refused to bathe. I guess, technically, this person would do it once a week or so... but, ugh. Disgusting. But, what makes me laugh, when this person was let go... he cried "discrimination."

... being dirty and smelly is not a lifestyle choice!!!

But, I'm not concerned about germs. I mean, really, the more you're exposed to germs, the more immunities you'll have to infections. You can't really live your life trying to avoid germs, anyway. I mean, they say a dog's mouth has less germs than a human's mouth, but that doesn't mean I'm going to start making out with dogs.

My main concern is sweat and other bodily fluids. Stuff that myself and other people can see, feel, and smell.

Maybe if he was allergic to soap or something...

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)
