What do you think of the movies that led from the 1980's to the 2000's? I think that they need to stop remaking them.

I'm very close to supporting a Constitutional Ammendment banning even the discussion of remaking of any movie that is not at least 30 years old.

Less than 30 years old? There's been The Shining, Manhunter-Red Dragon, and The Quick and the Dead. What else?

Nitpick why don't you. (smilie)

Remaking movies from Hollywood's Golden Age is one thing, but remaking movies from a mere two to three decades ago is quite another. It's like Hollywood is determined not to have an original thought in its head anymore. Talk about frustrating.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo! Even Back to School isn't exempt from the remake machine!

When will these executive pinheads learn...you remake the obscure movies and parody the classic ones.

And when was a Quick and the Dead remake announced? I really like that movie.

Actually, I was assuming that the movie was a remake of a 1987 made-for-HBO western, but looking at the IMDB listing, I'm almost positive that I was completely wrong.

More 1980's remake talk, courtesy of Dark Horizons:

Michael J Fox has revealed that he's in talks to do another "Back To The Future" movie according to Moviehole.

However, Fox has a condition that his character has to have aged as much as he has in real life. The "Spin City" actor first starred as Marty McFly in 1985 followed by subsequent outings in 1989 and 1990. He admits that he's currently in negotiations for a final film in the series but wants to take over Christopher Lloyd's eccentric scientist character, Doc.

"The only way it would work would be if I played Doc. I'm 44 years old now and I'm not interested in running around on skateboards. I think after 1, 2 and 3 we all kind of felt we had done it. And I think if they did it again now, they would do it with a younger cast and just do a different realisation of it, which would be fun" says Fox.

I love ya, Mike, but this is a terrible idea. :(

.....We saw Marty's future already, and he wasn't Doc.

GADZOOKS, IT'S A TIME PARADOX!! QUICKLY, WE MUST GET TO THE DELOREAN BEFORE OUR PARENTS NEVER MEET AND OUR BODIES VANISH FROM TIME!!!

I've heard this complaint for a while, but now I'm really beginning to think that enough is enough. What led to this revelation, you ask? Cheaper by the Dozen 2. My goodness, has there ever been a more redundant movie? A sequel to a remake of a movie that seems to be almost exactly the same as another remade movie, Yours Mine & Ours. And also now we have Fun with Dick and Jane, in the "Huh? That's a remake too?" category.

I mean, it really seems like they'll just remake any movie, regardless of whether or not there's really any reason to. It's cool with something like King Kong, because with such a special effects-driven movie, the remake is basically guaranteed to have a lot of different, new aspects to it.

If 90% of America doesn't know it's a remake until you tell them, it doesn't count. :p

Back to the future remake? Revenge of the nerds as well?

This is the end of movies as we know them

There is absolutely no reason to make a fourth Back to the Future movie. None. The trilogy ended, the ending was fine, leave it alone.

There isn't going to be another BTTF as of yet. According to BTTF.com, Fox was saying if there was going to be another movie, those would be his conditions.

Glad I got you to watch Stranger Things.

If I may recommend more media for you to check out, here's a starter:

You've mentioned that haven't read the original TMNT comics from Mirage Studios. Well, this video by YouTuber "Soundout12" gives a decent roadmap for where to start:

dmxx116 really likes to wish for people not to return back to so and so because their films didn't do so well. I don't agree with everything he says, though I agree on that Jared Leto shouldn't play Skeletor.
I'm sorry but I disagree with what GRPHX said about the past five films with Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as the choice of Denis Villeneuve as director and Steven Knight as writer in the next film because I really doubt Villeneuve's take will be like the Craig films at all and besides, all of the stuff he mentioned happened before the Craig films such as Licence to Kill.

Hi, welcome to Toonzone

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
