Decided to make a thread on this show, because hey, RangerBoard has a thread on it, so why not make it here?

Anyway, what's your opinion on this show? I have rather a mixed opinion on it. It isn't the worst Tokusatsu show I saw, but I have to talk about it.

The team is not that bad by the looks of it, but it suffers from either weird or just dumbed down choices. The CGI is mid, and it definitely reeks 2000's aura. Oh yeah, and theme song. It's.... definitely a thing, ngl.

At least, I think the villains are fine, and the episode plots can average from decent to "watchable" quality. I mean, there are far better toku shows out there, but I think it's a sorta guilty pleasure show of mine (especially from the Kamen Rider / Sentai fan).

I would like to know: Have you watched the show yet? And what's your opinion on it? Let me know!

That's just it, unfortunately. "Based on a Korean tokusatsu" or not, I don't want to be lead into yet another "morality play" (for lack of anything else to call it) that teaches blind obedience:

"I don't care if you saved all of mankind! You deliberately disobeyed me (alternately: "You lied to me!"/"You still didn't go to school like you were supposed to!")! YOU'RE GROUNDED!!

Oh yeah, and NO TV/VIDEO GAMES/CELLPHONES/INTERNET/SOCIAL MEDIA/ONLINE GAMING/COMPUTERS FOR A MONTH (or whatever amount of time is decided)!!"

And in some cases, the show insults/patronizes/condescends the viewers further by having something like this:

"I probably shouldn't have done it. S/he did save the world/universe/mankind after all. But s/he needs to learn that [insult unfair "moral lesson" that didn't need to be taught at all here]."

And then, depending on the show the parent..."considers" taking it back, resulting in the show "considering" the idea of showing that parents aren't always right, even though by this point it's now after the fact, when it's supposed to be shown from the start that parents/teachers/other "grown ups" are NOT always right, period.

I know some people have heard this before, but it's not what Walt would have done. Even if this show was a third party production, which I don't know if it is, Disney could still demand that something like this be done. With this in mind and more, I'm waiting for online synopses (plural version of "synopsis") of the episodes to make sure I know what I'm getting into.

Also, I'm sorry about the rant.

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
