    This isn't goodbye, I'm not gone-gone, but I do need some distance for a bit. SIDEBAR: I'm also basically done with Tumblr; I haven't closed my account there, but I've disabled notifications and I haven't been there in days. It started to get pretty smelly there toward the end and I made the mistake of following political blogs there; I'm definitely done with those. END SIDEBAR.

    For those worried that Bugs Bunny Builders and Tiny Toons Looniversity have been put on indefinite hiatus, BBB is set to return to Cartoonito in October, so I guess it's not so indefinite after all.

    To anyone who watched Disney's Raw Toonage: why was Webby from DuckTales in the show's intro?



    She didn't appear in any episodes of the show, AFAIK. I only saw a few episodes of Raw Toonage, so maybe I just missed something.

    They probably wanted a generic character from the Disney Afternoon in the intro. Lots of characters from that block frequently made cameos on the show (some even hosted it!).

    True, plus Marsupilami appeared in a number of commercial bumps for TDA, though he wasn't actually a Disney character.

    Yeah, Disney probably wanted to use characters that kids already recognized from The Disney Afternoon. Otherwise, I have to wonder why Disney didn't just use the Sensational Six for this show.

    Hot take: I've never seen a single episode of Kid Cosmic, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur or Hamster and Gretel, and I probably never will. After years of Powerpuff Girls I've basically had my fill of kid superheroes.

    I understand where @Silverstar is coming from. I still haven't seen Batman: Caped Crusader, nor do I have any plans to because I can't take another freakin' Batman show! Seriously, DC, could you put Batman on the shelf for 3 or 4 years, so he'll be special again?

    I've seen the first handful of episodes of Hamster & Gretel (which I enjoyed) and the first episode of Kid Cosmic (meh, to be honest).

    Not sure how hot of a take this is though, as I don't think any of these shows have exactly set the world on fire.

    Recently the subject of the name Cartoon Cartoons came up and some wag chirped "Someone drunk must've come up with that name". Hee-larious. Dude, it's short for Cartoon Network Cartoons; is that really so out there and hard to grasp?

    Also, "they must've been drunk" isn't the all-purpose zinger this guy seems to think it is. Like this one kid in my English class who thought just invoking the magic word "quaalude" was the height of hilarity. Some people grow up and some people just get older.

    All I kind find so far is that he was fired for behavior of an "egregious nature." That's what main media news outlets are saying. It almost sounds like he's trying to claim the "Gina Carano" defense (that he was fired for tweets).

    Which is interesting, because Nick.com has been mostly obliterated in the past few months ,the app is gone , can't watch episodes next day anymore , they just collapsed the nick jr site into it, show pages are gone unless it's Dora, Spongebob, Loud House, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, and TMNT. Small amount of games and those are mostly Nick Jr.

    @LinusFan303 Well, at least Paramount didn't obliterate Nick.com in favor of Paramount+.....at least not yet.

    @LinusFan303 laid it all out today: a new CEO won't solve WBD's problems, unless he/she is a gazillionaire. The company is the problem, not just who's running it. I for one will be backing off the "fire Zaslav" talk now.

    Of course now there are articles and posts of people railing on Zaslav for killing the Boomerang channel when it's just the streamer that's shutting down. I'm not saying don't dump on Zaslav but only blame him for stuff he actually does.

    A lot of people tend to forget that Turner Broadcasting didn't really care for Boomerang from the moment they want Cartoon Network to focus on original programming in order to compete against Nickelodeon. Sure, they tried to revitilized it for the past decade, but for the most part, they don't care as they saw it as CN's recycling bin. Thus, the audience aged out and moved on to streaming.

    Besides, it's not like the Boomerang app has anything special to go by. A lot of those titles could've easily ported over to Max. Why WBD have to wait for this long to realized it, I'll never know.

    Seriously. Zazlav sucks, but he's far from the only terrible person at WBD. There are a lot of bad things that have happened that he doesn't even have the power to do.

    My current avatar is Lot Lot from Primos, one of my fave characters from the show. The phrase below it is the name of an Aquabats album, one of my favorite bands. So double whammy tribute!

    WBD can split themselves up if they want to, but their problem is mismanagement, not structure. For one thing, they need to come up with a shorter name. Warner Bros Discovery is too many syllables; names should be short and memorable, they catch on a lot quicker.

    @JMTV They sold it to Discovery because they wanted out. They didn't pick him to run the company, his company bought the thing they didn't want.
