  • Possibly unpopular opinion: The original Dark Crystal movie was not one of Jim Henson's better works.

It's a little obtuse and portentous. After the audience and critic response he made Labyrinth a somewhat more conventional and mainstream film. While there's an argument to be made that The Dark Crystal is a "purer" film, Labyrinth has ultimately proved to be more enduring and beloved.
Hot take: There are enough shows that teach kids math and science. We need more shows that teach kids about government and civics.
So, uh, how about that Nickelodeon documentary, huh?

It's sure weird how no one's been talking about it.

Non-sarcastically speaking, everyone's known about Dan for years and years, and yet somehow everyone's acting like this is new information. Does the shock of a man's actions just not register with people until the documentary comes out?

I think that Dan's behavior was rumored about for years, but aside from a couple of former actresses, I don't think that we had anything more than that. The toxic work environment in particular was kind of new, at least in regards to how he treated his female employees.

Peter Paltridge is acutely aware and all-knowing. Pack it in, folks
Since the Super Bowl is tomorrow, anyone remember the Sylvester vs. Tweety and Bugs vs. Daffy specials that would air before the Super Bowl on Cartoon Network, where they would air old Looney Tunes cartoons and treat it like a football game, complete with play by play and analysts?

Yeah, I remember those. IIRC, they did one with Tom & Jerry as well.

As much flak as 4Kids gets, they were a LOT of people's first exposure to anime.

I also think a lot of their dialogue and voice acting was quite witty. It was nothing new for dubs to add humour specific to their country of origin; there are Spanish and German dubs of Hanna-Barbera cartoons for example that are beloved specifically for jokes and performances that appealed to those territories.. The thing is that "Americanizing" has different connotations, given how culturally dominant the US is.
Do you realize there’s an entire generation of kids who have never seen The Flintstones, and only know about them from vitamins and Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles?

All of the original show is on HBO MAX now, so maybe that will change if that really takes off.

It's also legal and free on TubiTV.

It's still on MeTV, albeit only on Sunday mornings (3 episodes followed by 1 episode of- what else?- The Jetsons).

There's something about seeing kids cry after they mess up big time that really gets to me. One can definitely feel bad for Layla.
I don't know I gonna post it but i think I may had spread the disney abandoning blue sky studios like they did with fox kids/jetix propaganda onto awinger24 and now hes fears of paramount & warner bros
