As an oldster (now), an attitude I frequently encounter from younger pop-culture fans is "I've never heard of this, therefore no one has!" Like, don't even ask around. Dear Young People, you're not the only people!
The Ignore button is greatest gift Anime Superhero has bestowed upon us. Don't neglect this wonderful thing.
So some YouTubers wouldn't shut up about how they weren't looking forward to Marvel's Echo, they then watched it, shocker!-they didn't like it and then made a 2 hour video crapping on it. So why'd they watch it in the first place, and why would I want to watch somebody kvetch about a show they knew they weren't going to like for two smegging hours?
Silly hypothetical question: do you think we'll ever see Cartoon Network characters at Warner Bros. World in Dubai and Abu Dhabi? (I ask 'cause I visited their website recently and now I keep getting ads for it.)
We're only 6 days into 2024 and these "Look at the crazy thing I can do with Steamboat Willie now that he's public domain!" things have already gotten old and tired. Way to pick the copse clean, guys.
So it looks like Migration is making an Elemental style comeback at the box office. Good for them.
Folks, when I state how likely or unlikely I think something is to happen, it doesn't mean that I hate that thing or I don't want it to happen. I deal in facts, logic and reason; my personal feelings rarely come into it. I'm prickly, sure, but I'm not a hater.
Here's hoping 2024 is a good year for everyone here at Anime Superhero forums.

One of my goals for 2024 is I plan to bring mine and Goldstar's blog back to life, but in a different format and more visual medium. It made me happy whenever someone said they enjoyed something we did on it. Our plan is to make it bigger and better.
I think @JMTV had the right idea and I'm going to start following his example: I'm going to stop caring about these Hollywood studios burning themselves to the ground and screwing the animation industry in the process. They're going to do whatever; I'm going to just hope for the best and get on with my life.
So now it looks like the proposed WBD/Paramount merger isn't happening. Good.
For all the folks on YouTube shouting "Dude, the crossovers!", instead think about how CN is now basically just a logo, how many people would've lost their jobs and how it would be 10 times harder for creators to get new ideas greenlit. This was just a bad idea all around.
Cable killed SatAM and syndicated blocks like Fox Kids and Kids'WB!, and now streaming's killing cable as cable prices itself out of existence. Ironic, no?

The Santa CLAUSE (with an 'e') is the name of the movie. It's a play on words. Literacy is cool.
Can we go back to calling it "Spider Sense"? "Spidey Sense" sounds like something you'd hear on a kiddie show.
The more I think about these new emotions in Inside Out 2, the less I like the idea. It all screams "We're doing a sequel so we have to add new characters!" Nevermind how unnecessary they are. Embarrassment and Ennui are states of mind, not emotions.
Not every movie needs a sequel. Not every streaming series needs multiple seasons. Some pieces of art can work as a one-and-done.
In order to continue enjoying escapist movies, we need to stop setting our standards so ridiculously high. Wish and The Marvels may not have been great movies, but they were still good, entertaining movies, and that's all they need to be. Nowadays if a movie isn't cinematic gold, people start shrieking "Disney is done! Marvel is dead!". Every movie doesn't have to be Ben-Hur. Just chill.
Zaslav complains that WBD "hasn't cracked the kids" yet the average ad for Max contains ZERO clips of kids' shows or cartoons. Sure, some kids and families like Guy's Grocery Games but a lot of them like CARTOONS. I know this bugs me more than it should but it still bugs me.
The scripted comedy has become an endangered species on basic cable. Comedy Central only has The Daily Show, TBS just has American Dad, and that's only because Disney wouldn't let them out of their contract, TNT just airs reruns and sports and TruTv just spams Impractical Jokers all day. -
