  • Peace, what's up?

I don't remember the issue number, it is an arc before Batman 300 written by David V. Reed, a 6 part story with villains on trial each telling a story how he/she killed Batman
Budget is also getting in the way. Had to also drop Uncanny X-Men and X-Men Legacy. I do plan on revisiting Grifter in June on the Comixology app when issue #9 becomes $2. Or read issue #9 when I go the comic store the day it comes out.

I was looking forward to Snyder's Batman Annual with Mr. Freeze, but that's a court of owls tie in too. That and the owls crossovers/tie ins with the other Batman titles in May is just over kill. The sooner this court of owls thing gets done, and we see Batman fighting his established rogues gallery, the better. Maybe then I'll see the "genius" of Scott Snyder, but right now, I'm not seeing it.

I get Snyder's Batman every month and it's in no danger of getting dropped. I'm just not feeling it (or any of the new 52 titles I get) like everyone else is. I'm getting tired of this court of owls conspiracy thing. I've been bored with it and it's been going on way too long for me.

I'm enjoying Action Comics a little more than I did, but Morrison still has a long way to go before it's even considered a note worthy Superman story that's a must read (forget about topping All Star Superman, that doesnt look like is gonna happen).

He hasn't been seen or heard from, but I'm sure he'll be around again at some point. He's from the future, so they can always explain away any inconsistencies with "Well, This Happened Before (*insert event here*) happened."

Both pro and anti-Morrison fans are so vocal that I usually just sum it up with "He's not my cup of tea" when I get into discussions of it. Which is true. I've read a ton of his stuff, and appreciate what he tries to do, but it just doesn't do it for me. I've read his Batman run from the start, and aside from just not really enjoying it, don't really like the changes he's made or what he's introduced (Global Batmen, Damian). I pretty much just read it because it's the main Bat-book, and anything major that happens with the character will happen in his stuff.

Finish it out now. Might as well even though both are unrelated to the first story arc and issue 8 is a Frankenstein comic co-written by the the character's regular writer. It is the completionist in me.
