Well, it's almost June, so it shouldn't be too long. Anyway, considering the recent announcement of Dragon Ball Z Kai coming to Toonami, would it be staying or leaving Vortexx? I'll respect if you can't say.

So that's what "O, M, M" ment...

Can't say I'm surprised, it was obvious Saban stopped supporting the block when it went on life support airing the same shows and promos every week for months. But I thought Saban's contract wasn't up until 2015.

So long Vortexx, we hardly knew ya...

WHATT!??!?! NO MORE YU-Gi-Oh on Local Broadcast Networks!!!!?! I'm really Upset now!!!

They just gave up on the block… wow… And what's worse i will not have cable in the coming months. Really really upset.

Welp.

End of the line.

Looking at the lineup, I assume this was a combination of Saban admitting defeat, and pressure from affiliates for an all-E/I lineup provided by the network so they wouldn't have to purchase it themselves.

A MOTHERS ONLY BLOCK FROM LITTON!?!?
spacem-04-300x228_zps4dd5cd5a.jpg

Sigh. Unfortunately you were pretty close on that.

You know, I was predicting that if Saban ever gave up on the block, the time would either go to DHX Media, Litton, or back to the affiliates.

Anyway, Litton now has a monopoly on Saturday mornings. Ironically, this leaves NBC as the only network that produces their own children's programming. Unfortunately, it's all live-action preschool content.

I really do hope that Nicktoons will not give up on anime because they are the only non-Toonami channel that airs anime at all. Well, them and that awful Disney XD Channel;

I'm Screwed with watching more Zexal in the future, Please DO NOT put it on toonami! I'm already Cracking!!!

Dude its NOT going to be on Toonami. Its a kids show. It will just go to Nicktoons.

I understand but i may or may not have cable really soon if things won't get worked out..

But still my rage for my saturday mornings being gone will still be this…

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. The one thing that really shocks me is that they were able to do this before 2015, because I thought Saban's contract wasn't up until then. I wonder if this means Saban will be paying The CW out of their own pockets until then? Because I remember 4Kids did the same thing with FOX, and there weren't really any debts or dues there.

This is really a shame. Even if it was rerun filled kids liked watching it. Oh Well.

Well, this stinks.

Sad thing is, I'm not too upset. The only show I watched, Zexal, will probably just air on NickToons.

Well that bites. I'm not really shocked by this development though. Saban clearly gave up on the block by the time that the bulk of it was just repeats. The fact that the lineup wasn't going to change until the fall was a major sign, especially when they had opportunities to mix up the lineup at least a little bit in the spring. I guess that the block just wasn't as appealing to Saban as they initially thought it would be after and they didn't put as much effort as they first did when they first started the block.

I'm not really too upset though. They didn't really have a lot of shows that I liked and the ones that I did like are either widely available on DVD/Hulu, like Yu-Gi-Oh! DM, or will be able to continue on another channel like Nicktoons, such as Zexal and Digimon Fusion. I unfortunately don't have Nicktoons, but maybe they'll put those episodes on their official website at least.

I'm curious about the contract they made for Yu-Gi-Oh! as well. I thought that they were suppose to include premieres on the CW until 2015. Would Saban also pay off that contract, as well as the contract they made with the CW? If premieres are no longer able to air on the CW, I guess that Zexal will finish up on Nicktoons, although I don't know how much of the series has aired there. I'm more curious about the fate of Arc-V's dub. Will that also be put on Nicktoons or another channel instead of the CW? I guess that we'll have to wait and see for now on that show.

Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
