USA Today in partnership with Marvel Comics will offer 1,000 curated archival Marvel comics on their digital entertainment hub simply called PLAY. These will range from old-school classics to modern favorites. More importantly, PLAY will also bring out an all-new exclusive Spider-Man Infinity Comic series, “Spider-Man Today”.
“Spider-Man Today” comes from the creative team of Al Ewing (“Venom”) and Todd Nauck (“Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”), will see Spidey teaming up with several other heroes from the Marvel Universe, and is set to run for 48 weeks. The first issue is already available on PLAY. You can check out the cover art below in the article, then head on over to the platform to actually read it. It’s supposed to be an all-ages book, but one does need a subscription to PLAY to check this out.
As mentioned the new comic will be a team-up series; the first cover alone shows Ben Grim/Thing, Cyclops, Daredevil, Hulk, Jean Grey, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Shuri, and Storm, all alongside Spidey. Hulk and Daredevil are supposed to play larger roles in the first two story arcs. Check out the initial announcement of the new comic, from Spider-Man comics editor Nick Lowe, in the video player below.
