Toonami has released their latest schedule update via the official Toonami Facebook page. With Dan Da Dan wrapping up on the 20th, a returning classic show will be replacing DDD: Toonami’s first original anime, IGPX.
At 12:00 AM, My Adventures with Superman continues the season 3 run that began on June 13. By June 27, Superman and Lois will be on its third new episode of another ten episode season.
At 12:30 AM, Blue Lock is airing at a new earlier time slot. This soccer anime moves up from 1:00 AM to 12:30 AM. While earlier episodes featured weekly ads, these promos ceased when the series moved down from 12:30 AM to 1:00 AM with the arrival of Dan Da Dan. With Blue Lock returning to its original time slot in the midnight hour, weekly episode promos may resume. Season one is expected to conclude on July 25. A second season has aired in Japan, but has yet to be confirmed for Toonami.
At 1:00 AM, Tokyo Revengers time travels back to a new earlier time slot, shifting back from 1:30 AM to 1:00 AM. One of Toonami’s most violent anime, episodes often air with TV-14 to TV-MA ratings with disclaimers. Season one is expected to end on July 25. A second and third season have aired in Japan, but it is unknown how many seasons Toonami licensed.
At 1:30 AM, One Piece airs at an earlier time, moving from 2:00 AM to 1:30 AM. The three episode Marine Rookie arc makes its debut on June 13, continues on June 20, and concludes on June 27. July schedules are still forthcoming, so there is no confirmation on if or when Toonami will air Whole Cake Island.
At 2:00 AM, IGPX makes another round the track. Returning for the first time since 2024, the first Toonami original series is back. This Mecha racing anime is among the best regarded Toonami original anime. Fans can purchase the HD restoration on Blu-Ray from Discotek Media. The prior run of IGPX began with a daylight savings time preview in 2023 and continued with a full run of season 1. Unexpectedly, Dragon Ball Z Kai suddenly returned, replacing IGPX in early 2024. With DBZ having just finished the Cell saga again for the first time on Adult Swim since 2020, Adult Swim is now airing IGPX again from the start.
At 2:30 AM, Ninja Kamui continues Joe Logan’s quest for vengeance. July 4 will mark the end of the latest rampage, barring an unexpected marathon. Whether or not it continues into season 2 remains unknown.
At 3:00 AM, Blue Exorcist is returning to the block starting on June 13. By June 27, it will be three episodes into season one. With four seasons having aired consecutively the last couple years, it will take well over a year to air a full rerun to catch up to Japan’s latest season.
At 3:30 AM, My Adventures with Superman finishes out the block with encores of the midnight premieres. The 3:30 AM slot has previously been held by Rooster Fighter encores, prior to June 13.
