People need to stop assuming that the next time skip is going to be another five years for all we know the next timeskip will be five weeks or months. Don't forget that this is coming from the same guy who said the second season starts right where the first season left off.
I think Greg is a fan of "a certain point of view".

I don't mind the timeskip much, but the alien invasion bothers me. Those stories have to be dealt with diligently.

Maybe the Reach think the gene could give them the extra edge they need against the Green Lantern Corps.

Two Questions: wasn't their a GL in the Legion of Superheroes? Was Changeling ever related to Beast Boy in the comics.

Changeling was the codename Beast Boy took up i think after he left the Doom Patrol.

Anyway nice episode, it was nice to finaly see the real Roy after all this time, and i bet he will join the team since he was on the Invasion poster we got waaaaay back (with a metalic hand).

Wonder if he will still call himself Speedy or go by Arsenal now.

On his blog Vietti indicated that at least one or two of the people on that poster weren't actually gonna show up on the team so real Roy might not end up joining.

Two Questions: wasn't their a GL in the Legion of Superheroes? Was Changeling ever related to Beast Boy in the comics.

In reverse order - Changeling is the name Beast Boy took when he joined the Titans. Same guy.

Rond Vidar is the GL of the Legion era, but had to work covertly as the GL Corps was banned from Earth (because of Universo, the other rogue Green Lantern besides Sinestro). Of course, that's one of the futures - how it has held up past Crisis (et al) and 52 reboot, I don't know.

On his blog Vietti indicated that at least one or two of the people on that poster weren't actually gonna show up on the team so real Roy might not end up joining.

I hope he just said that to throw people off or that they're not including that other girl on the poster.

Maybe next week's episode will explain why he has Artemis' bow.

Technically, we don't know it's Speedy, it's just highly assumed that it is. Otherwise, you may as put Secret as the ??? because that's the most common theory for the one shadow.

True. Other than Speedy the only other archer that it could be would be Arrowette. Since she was shown as a young girl in season 1 I'd be surprised is she doesn't become a hero this season.

As for the ??? character, all I see is what looks like a hood with the bill of a baseball cap sticking out of it.

Well today's episode helped flesh out the timeline more.

If Greg and Co get enough seasons. We might end up with one taking place 40 years into the future.

Yeah we got Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, Impulse, Robin (Tim Drake), A girl who cannot be id, and an archer so either speedy or arrowette. I think its a while before speedy joins though, the light had to have added some brainwashing.

I'm not entirely convinced it's a girl. It looks like someone wearing baggy pants, a hoodie with the hood up, and a baseball cap with the bill sticking out, at least to me.

Good Point. Now that I look at it. Given the height is could be Beast Boy in his Human Form. Could be Static as well assuming he is a couple years younger then the rest maybe 12-13.

In the comics, Static initially wore a hooded trenchcoat and a baseball cap as part of his costume.

Pretty sure we're not seeing her again. She was only in Secrets because Peter David wrote it. Wouldn't mind her coming back tho.

Remember that Cissie's cameo was specifically planned and requested by Weisman. Secret could have been planned as well. I believe they're given guidelines of some kind for writing aren't they?

Not that I'm sure she'll come back. I doubt it myself. But I wouldn't rule it out just because of who wrote the episode.

Secret's storyline could have been meant to be a set-up for something greater but I don't think so. The whole point ( I thought) was she couldn't move on until someone exposed her brother for what he did, and she disappeared once Artemis and Zatanna caught him.

Unless they end up bringing back Harm and somehow give him his powers back I think their story is done.

I could see her coming back in a different way. She was a warder in the original comics and I feel like if they tried hard enough they could do something with that. A failed revival maybe? Something along those lines anyway could trap her between life and death. Or maybe after moving on she gained the role. It wouldn't be the first time something was changed in this show.

But yeah I think that story ended nicely. Even if I had issues with her portrayal I see no reason to add to it. But I could still see a few ways to bring her in if the need arises.

You know, the more I look at the poster the more the figure in the middle looks like Static in his original costume. Look HERE for comparison. The hood, the baseball cap, the baggy gloves... looks like jeans instead of his usual skintight suit, and he doesn't have much a cloak, but, I dunno, certainly a possibility.
