After a stunning upset in the Wrestlemania thread, I chose to continue my path of glory... (I am a heel champion)
WWE Tag Team Titles
Team Angle vs. Los Guerreros
My Thoughts: I don't really see Los Guerreros recapturing the titles at this point. First of all, Team Angle needs the titles alot more than Los Guerreros at this point. Eddie and Chavo can rely on vigenettes and natural charisma to get people to like them- Team Angle are very plain, and without Kurt around, they need to keep the gold to keep their heat. Second of all, for all intents and purposes, Team Angle really only became represented as a strong tag team at Wrestlemania, where they won their first big match in an "upset" of LG and Benoit/Rhyno. Before that they were just Brock Lesnar's personal jobberboys. Since I see them having a long strong reign, likley to last until Kurt gets back, I don't see them dropping the titles at all.
Winners: Team Angle
The Big Show vs. Rey Mysterio
My Thoughts: This match is completley and utterly retarded, because as far as I can see, it will accomplish nothing but bad things no matter what happens. If Big Show wins, it won't make Big Show look good- it will just make Mysterio look sad as hell. Show squashing Mysterio doesn't make Show look like a monster, because the guy he's tossing around is tiny. It will make him simply into a bully, and the crowd will collectively groan when he wins. If Mysterio wins, yeah, it will make him look good, but A) not that good, because Big Show has like no credibility and B) it will make Big Show look absolutley pathetic. If the WWE ever has plans for Big Show to ever do anything, ever again (I read rumors he's next in line for a shot at Brock's title) he needs to go over, or he'll never be able to show his face in public again. Vince loves big men, and he would never have Show lose to Mysterio- it will just never happen. Mysterio will hit a few moves, and almost pull out "the biggest upset if WWE history!" but Show will undoubtedly win.
Winner: The Big Show
Sean O'Haire vs. Rikishi
My Thoughts: Every time Rikishi came out to face an up and coming young heel last year, I prayed that he would do the job and end his streak of squashing every one. He didn't. He beat John Cena, Matt Hardy, and the FBI all singlehandedly. Nice work, you fat piece of crap. Maybe if you were marginally talented and were getting a push, all of that squashing would mean something. The Kish makes his first PPV appearance in 11 months, and once again, he's facing a young heel- Sean O'Haire. I'm confident, however, that this time, things will be different. O'Haire is in store for a big push, and with Roddy Piper at his side, you know he's destined for big things. Rikishi is a go through guy to make O'Haire a star... At least he better be. If Rikishi wins this match I'll kill somebody. Regardless, it makes no sense for Rikishi to win, so I'll go with that logic.
Winner: Sean O'Haire
WWE Title
Brock Lesnar vs. Jon Cena
My Thoughts: This match has a good amount of buildup stemming from months ago, and even though Jon Cena has no chance in hell of taking the title from Brock, I appriciate that he's been given the chance to show what he's got on a grand stage. Brock just won the title, and basically the guy has only been pinned twice- once when there was a screwjob, and once in something that wasn't even a real match. Will he do his first clean job to Cena? No. Brock will have a long illustrious reign before dropping the strap to Benoit or Angle or someone... But not Cena, one month later.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
Women's Title
Trish Stratus vs. Jazz
My Thoughts: Trish just won the title, which usually dictates she won't lose it yet, but I'm picking Jazz for a few reasons. The first is that if Trish pins Jazz, who does she face next? She doesn't really have anyone lined up- she might win and feud with Jazz until Judgment Day, but for the most part, she's done it all with most of the Women's Division divas, whereas Jazz could feud with Ivory, Molly, or even Victoria which would all be fresh feuds for the women's division. I also think that the main reason Trish won last month was not to set up a lengthy title reign, but to have the divisions only babyface emerge victorious in the biggest women's match of the year- and to prevent Jazz from winning the women's WM triple threat in two straight years. Ultimatley I think Jazz will get the title regardless, so that a strong, dominant heel will have the strap leading into the summer to feud with the returning Lita. With Teddy Long now at her side, Jazz would look bad in losing, so for all of those reasons, I think Jazz will win somehow.
Winner: Jazz
World Tag Titles
Rob Van Dam and Kane vs. The Dudley Boyz
My Thoughts: RVD and Kane, one month after getting shoved off the WM card and winning the tag titles next month, are in store for a decent title reign, I think. The Dudleyz are involved in an interesting storyline, and their conflict will likley cost them the belts- at this point, them winning the titles would mean little, and simply leave RVD and Kane without direction or a storyline. The Dudleyz have their own thing going on, so I see RVD and Kane retaining, to face Le Resistiance, the APA, 3 Minute Warning, and a healthy, returning Evolution.
Winners: Rob Van Dam and Kane
Kevin Nash, Booker T, and Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H, Chris Jericho, and Ric Flair
My Thoughts: I'm totally disgusted that Booker T and Jericho's feuds going into this one have been overshadowed by the Kliq love triangle. Who gives a crap where Nash went? Since the title isn't on the line, I think it makes the most sense for the babyfaces to win and get the one up on the champ. Most of the feud has involved Triple H, so I think he'll be the one being pinned, most likley by Nash. This makes Nash a threat to Hunter and the natural No. 1 Conteder heading into Judgment Day. The only thing that makes me wonder is that I'm positive that babyfaces will win both of the other "main-events" and there are almost never all good guys winning the top matches... But this makes to much sense, so I'm just going with it.
Winners: Nash/HBK/Booker T
Bill Goldberg vs. The Rock
My Thoughts: Well here we go, Goldberg's first match. I simply don't see Rock winning at all, in a match that is basically common sense- Rock winning would accomplish zilch since Rocky is heading back to Hollywood very soon, and seeing as Goldberg needs to be put over as a dominant force, the chances that he'll lose to the Rock are slim.
Winner: Goldberg
