Anyone here a fan of this amazing anime?

it was an amazing anime-for about 10 episodes...but the problem with wolf's rain was a lot actually
the changing of who was the enemy throughout the series was a nerve (first it was lord orcham, then it was darcia, then it was jagara, then it's back to darcia in the last 4 episodes). And then the god awful clips show that expanded by 4 friggin episodes, it couldn't pic itself up. I thought I wouldn't say this about bones, but very bad execution there...

The animation was very impressive at times for a series that long, and I really liked the music, but I didn't really care for any of the characters. I liked the concept though, but it dragged on. My mom seemed kinda into it near the end though, that was pretty cool since she usually doesn't care for anime at all.

The only part that dragged to me was the clip eps, there was really no point to that at all! Other than that, I thought the series was amazing!

I loved this series, the characters were very likeable, animation was good, and the switching was well delivered. Also i like animes with a more psychological meaning to them.

I thought it was okay. It had a very memorable ending, where
Everyone died.

I liked the ending, but at the same time I was a little disappointed with it because I didn't really like what it implied (at the very end). Oh well!:p

As for the character deaths, Toboe's was the most touching. Hibe's and Blue's were too, but not as crushing as Toboe's. I was sobbing when Toboe died, and I had been spoiled on the ending of the show already so I knew what was coming.

Eh, I guess i'm a minority here as I didn't really like it all that much. It was way too boring at times and felt like nothing was accomplished in many episodes. And the ending was just like Big O's, and it sucked. But thats just my opinion

I think its one of the best animes ever, simply because it doesen't try to go for that everybody lives happily ever after ending.
What happened to Toboe made me sob but then when I realized that this is just the cycle I was "ok" with everyone else's deaths. And the hope that maybe Kiba and the others will get to paradise next time is satisfying as well. Although a second season would be really cool.

Anyone here read the manga adaption to it? Is it any good?

I agree, I thought the show was great and loved all the characters not including Blue and the bad guys. I love how the show was done with the changing from wolf to human, good voice cast too. I also enjoy good psychological anime. The ending was depressing/disapointing and am I the only one that thinks its a big opener for a sequel. Only problem is how they'd go about doing it. No fair I didn't get to see the 4 clips episodes and haven't gotten the dvd yet.

I went on and on about this back when it first aired on Adult Swim, but the main problem is that the human characters (plus Blue) are more interesting and have more character growth than the four wolves. Plus paradise is
just a big damn Macguffin.
